Since there's been a lot of complaints about nerfing of brawlers, I thought I'd share my experience so far. This is all solo; I haven't grouped with anyone yet. I'm not using Vibro-Knucklers, either, since they're not available yet on Scylla. I'm aiming for Tera Kasis

I haven't had it easy, but it hasn't been too difficult, either. I've gotten to expert unarmed specialization relatively quickly, and now I'm slugging away at master. Here's what I've done so far that's made it manageable and interesting for myself.

1. Lair destroying missions have been the mainstay of my activities, and I don't have too much trouble with them, even with white rated lair creatures. The trick is to take them on one or two at a time, and rest between battles. Once you've cleared the creatures around the lair, go to the lair and hit it once, then run away at least 50m. This gives the lair a chance to spawn the several creatures who will attack you simultaneously if you hang around. By running away, they don't notice you, and you can take them one or two at a time again. Repeat until hitting the lair spawns no more creatures (so far, depending on the creature, I've seen 6-15 spawns once the lair is attacked). Once no more creatures spawn, it's easy to destroy the lair and collect your money. I've made a fair amount of cash this way, more than I need at the moment.

1.1 Take two missions in the same direction, and finish them both before returning to the city. A little more efficient and less time-consuming.

2. Limited use of specials. I've got intimidate, unarmed hit 1, unarmed stun 1, and unarmed blind 1. I used to queue them up all the way past the top of the window, and then wait it out, and I kept getting incapacitated. It was only once I started limiting myself to one of each (followed by simple attacks) that I survived more, because I wasn't spending health on the attacks. Do them once to get the benefit (intimidate, stun, blind), then sit back and let your regular attacks do their work. You'll live longer.

3. Take Novice Scout, then Exploration Fundamentals 1, Trapping 1, and Hunting 1. Novice Scout gets you basic traps (Lecepanine Dart and Wire Mesh), which you can use to start the fights you choose, and convey an advantage like a special. You can harvest creatures for bones and hide to make basic camp kits and traps, and that quite quickly builds the scouting experience to get the first level skills. Exploration Fundamentals 1 gets you a bonus running up hills, Trapping 1 gets you a better trap, the Bone Spur, and Hunting 1 gets you Creature Knowledge. They're little things, but they're cheap to get, and the little things add up. When you're using your traps, you're building trapping experience to Trapping 1. The XP piles up without you noticing it, and you can get more basic stuff as you want it.

That's what I've done so far, and it works pretty well for me. Anyone with any other tips, please add them here. I know unarmed can be frustrating compared to the other professions, but it's not too bad when done right.
