Some Brawler Questions-

1) So far I have evolved to click target, then `/~ key, then 1 to start combat, as the mouse way didnt work as the mobs were pulled - I couldn't get a menu very often. Is this the best way to start auto-attack?

2) Is there a setting that makes you back up a little less retarded-ly? I frequenly feel like I need to position myself on a mob and when I back up I kinda turn around, it's very awkward. I feel like I spend way too much time not swinging out of range.

3) Once I got a mob sitting still, like attacking my buddy, and I seem to be connecting, I have been using unarmed hit 1 over and over pretty much, with some berserk and intimidate thrown just cause. Is this pretty much the standard method? Unarmed hit 1 doesnt seem to use much action, but I don't really know what I am talking about to be honest.

4) When I do draw aggro and am taking damage, is there anything I need to to do to decrease the damage I am taking? Is there a defensive stance/ability/mode, or do I just need to keep whacking away.

5) I don't understand looting. The guy around me keeps harvesting, whats the difference?

Thats all I have right now, I am sure some other things will pop into mind.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

1) No you can type /attack and that will start an auto attack.

2) The best way to do it is is click on your target and type /follow - this will follow the guy anywhere, and you can move a couple of feet away from him, and your guy will spring around back to him. Handy also when the guy trys to make an escape.

3) Get your some some Vibro Knuckles and start advancing up in unarmed combat. Or use another weapon. Fists alone don't do the damange they did in Beta. Unarmed hit, and then unarmed blind and unarmed stun work nicely.

4) Unfortunatly no. Brawlers are sorta screwed in this department. We are the tanks. Wookies and Trans make better tanks though than humans.

5) Looting is taking stuff off the body of a humanoid enemy. Harvesting is taking bones, hide, and meat from creatures.

Hope I helped!

Thanks for the replies.

Would it be best to use an attack macro, instead of typing it out?

I assume you can make a follow macro?

macro, macro, macro

attack : (/follow ; /attack) (attacks the target and follows them, sometimes I /stopfollow after I get to the target to prevent walking/repostitioning)

looting : (/loot ; /harvest hide)

I use both of these macros every battle

Why are you using a macro to fight? Are you Lazy? Put your icons on a unarmed taskbar and fight like a man... j/k (about the lazy thing)

I like using my "F" keys, which you do ny placing macros into your [button bar] via (ctrl + A) i recommend this layout

F1 = /stand

F2 = /kneel

F3 = /sit

F4 = /loot; /harvest hide

F5 = /consider

F6 = berserk

F7 = Intimidate

F8 = Warcry

F9 = special move

F10 = special move 2

F11 = /follow

F12 = stopfollow

Shift F12 = /burstrun
