As a brawler, I'm used to soaking a lot of damage. I can reliably take on whites and the occasional yellows, but reds always drop me.
However, I've noticed something: after incapacitating me, they rarely deathblow me. I drop, I lay there for 60 seconds, I get up (the creature has moved away and no longer notices me), I move away for safety's sake, heal up, and go at it again.
Now I'm taking on a greater shaupaut on Naboo who's guarding a lair of shaupauts I'm trying to destroy for a mission. I've been incapacitated twice (I'm typing this while waiting to heal), and he's down just under 50%. At this rate, he'll be dead in about 15 minutes.
Is anyone else doing this? Is the experience you get from taking on a massively overpowering creature worth it? Or is it just not worth it from a time spent/XP gained perspective?

I've done this many times. However, they slay me more often than not.

Am I the only one who thinks that greater shaupauts look like a Dr. Seuss creature? The cat in the hat?
I've yet to be killed by one. And I'm spacing out my attacks so I don't trip the "3 incapacitations in 10 minutes" rule that kills you.

The greater shaupaut is dead, 45 minutes after first attacking him. I received 571 XP unarmed combat, and a whopping 68 XP of combat XP.
I don't know...

It only takes 2 fanned rawls(currently white to me) to hit 604xp and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to do it. Definitely not worth it. =P

Be careful about trying this as you start going against higher level creatures. Many of them, even the one's that are non-agressive are "Killers" (try and find a Scout to do an Examine on a creature to know for sure). They will administer a death blow. And even a swarm of Non-Killers can do you in if two hit you at the smae time.
