Thread: Brawling solo: Can it be done?
Hi all.
I'm an Unarmed brawler with intentions of taking it all the way up to TK.
Thing is I do not have a pet, and I hunt alone, just do not have the time to hook up with ppl.
So what I want to know, will I get anyplace soloing, without the back up ppl keep talking about?
And if I can, what suggestions do ppl have? I am on Tatooine right now, but as soon as I can get money I am headed back to Naboo ![]()
Oh yeah I am working on Unarmed 4 now.
Absolutely, I went all the way to Master Brawler, with no pet and never fired a shot, the occasional group with one or two other people when it was convient.
Yes it can be done, and isgreat fun.

Hi Dreena,
Like yourself I didnt use pets and solo'd alot (feels good to play game on hard mode). When I worked on UA4 (& novice TKA box), I did this in NNW Tattoine. There are plenty of Alhkaran and Tusken spawn camps (right outside of Fort Tusken). If you can pull them one at a time, you will average 1K/kill UA xp. Just make sure to use speed sliced vks (even though you dont have cert), and start fight with debuffs (warcry, intimidate, blind, stun then berserk) you should be able to kill anything you see short of Warlords, Captains, Chiefs, warriors and Brutes. Most camps are comprised of Commoners, Raiders and Snipers so shouldn't be a prob unless you get a bad pull ![]()
There's also a TKA trainer in Espa in back of the Star Port for convenience. Do it right and you'll never go back to Naboo
If you're INTENT on being a pure melee character, then master an elite AND brawler.
master brawler + master tka/fencer/swords/pike = pve MACHINE
The most important thing I can recommend to you is to choose your prey wisely. Don't fight anything -- even newbie creatures -- that are ranged and fight in packs. They'll just plink you to death.
Fight the biggest things you can that have no ranged attacks and don't assist each other. That way you'll be restricting your combat to melee and you can take advantage of your class strengths.
Look for creatures that are vulnerable (or at least, not especially well protected) to your particular damage type. Don't go be an Unarmed guy and try to fight snorbels or anything with extremely high resists to Kinetic.
XP is based off of the level of the creature, and the level of the creature is almost exactly 10% of its damage-dealing capacity. So the best trick there is to just have high resists against that particular creature's damage type, thereby giving you the ability to withstand attacks from a creature much higher level than you "should" be able to handle. This last bit applies to every class, of course.
Lastly, don't PvP. As a Brawler, you'll just get angry (and dead).
