I've been grinding SLOWLY and I've made it to Unarmed 3 finally. I'm needing to finish Unarmed 4 but jeese.. there has GOT to be a better way to level..

Does anyone have any advice on how to level even moderately faster? I tried grouping but everything we were hunting in groups would switch to me instead of the pets and I'd get mauled pretty fast.

Right now I'm wearing some decent kinetic armor and I'm killing things fairly slowly... anything with more than 750HAM takes me an hour to kill and I only get 300xp for it anyways. With that as it is, I've been focusing on killing smaller things that I can take down in 2-3 shots but at 100xp apiece, well, the thought of killing 700 creatures makes me ill.

I can do it and I will continue to grind.. slowly.. but please, there has to be a better way?

Can anyone offer me just a tad bit of advice or is this the way everyone levels? Slowly but surely?

It is a grind. UA4 and TKN are the slowest in the game. If you are patient (being an Artisan Im sure you are), then I'd recommend heading up to Mos Espa and running 4km to the NNW (For Tusken area). Use speed sliced VKs (dont know if you do, but if not the speed advantage is a necessity). Once in the area, look for Alkharan and Raider Camps.

Pulling them one at a time is the key but the Standard Raiders will drop ~1100 xp/kill and the Alkharans will drop between 500-1k (been a while) per kill. These guys are all baddies and you will need to Intimidate them and then follow up with Blind/Stun and then beat them senseless with Berserk. Try to keep them intimidated whole fight. Avoid fights with Captns, chiefs and warlords. Snipers, Commoners and Raiders are yourxp machine. If this doesnt work, find a team at the Fort. The downside to the Fort are all the powerlevlng commandos one shotting everything in sight but it can still be fun with the right group.

Dont forget that Warcry and Lunge1are your friends. GL

Wait wait wait, I can use VK's??? I'm only UA 3? I thought the cert came at Nov:TKA?

Right now I'm only hitting for like 150 max... No chance I could take out a Tusk with that pathetic damage can I?

you can use VKs but they won't really add damage. They will however make you attack faster!

VK's help a lot. Get the fastest ones you can. Damage doesn't really matter.

I also recommend using berserk. I found that it helped me a lot. I actually did all of master brawler before grinding out TKA novice. This helped a lot because I could use berserk2 and lunge2.

It still ended up being a fairly long grind.

Vks will give you not only the speed, but the armour piercing as well. Good for hunting in groups on advanced planets.

Gringing solo is your biggest mistake. Things will take way longer. Bsides, soon youll b joining the group of spammers at starports yell: training all teraks kasi skill. will pay 1k per skill. In groups u have a better chance of getting apprencite xp.

Just group with as many medics and as few commandos/BHs you can and that should make things a lot faster.

Illuminatrix, not only are tuskens possible, but they are rewarding to fight. Xp, loot, and sastifaction of winning the match against such a beautiful opponent Seriously, if done right you should be able to beat Commoners, Snipers and std Raiders if the fight is one on one. Debuffs are the key, always intimidate them as you close distance (preferably before they are in melee range) and/or Warcry (this will give you an additional hall pass of 10 seconds if landed).

Follow-up with Blind (decreases their accuracy) and Stun (saps their stats and they lose a round of combat). Once they are intimidated, stunned and blinded, you can berserk (use carefully since you can't use specials while berserk). Also use lunge, it does 2 things, more damage for follow-up strikes whilekneelingand delays their attack (1 or 2 hits). There is a 30 second timer here so u also may want to use this as an opening attack (when your within 15m and closing in) so u can get a 2ndtowards end of fight.

One last but critical piece of advice for any melee player, get novice medic and one box of treatment speed. You will need to use StimBs.

get some nice med skills - atleast stimB. you can kill much higher mobs than you can without self heals. Ididrasp missionson corellia which grant near 400 exp a peice and are tooo easy. like 2-4 shots.

I still am doing the grind but a good chunk of it was taken out doing grouping on Dantooine.

We were taking out Bol lairs. I had a GSP. There was a Grenadeer with a Graul and a Novice Doctor/Novice Carbineer with a Cowardly Gurreck. I got about 300-500 for each Bol, while rarely ever being targeted myself. (If I was, I just had to manevuer a little bit and it switched back to the pets) or I got 10 if the Grendeer used his Flamethrower! The lairs they let me take on by myself. While it took a long time it netted me about 3,000+ xp! All in all for each lair (including Bols) I got about 6,000 unarmed xp. It cut my journey to UA4 in half.

Note: These were regular Bol lairs with Bols and Bol Pack Runners.
