Does

Couple of questions regarding vibro knuckles:

1) Are they still in the game? I haven't seen any for a while.

2) Do you have to be certified to use them? If so, when does that certification come?

3)Where can one obtain a set on the Lowca, Sunrunner, and Valcyn servers (preferably on Corellia or Tattoine)?

and

4) Are they worth it for brawlers?

Okay, I found some information in an earlier post, but not everything. Any help would be appreciated.

2) No, you can use them right away

3) I don't know of may weaponsmiths that mass produce them or anything. Keep looking on the bazaar or on the planetary map for weaponsmiths. Or maybe someone will post. Try checking out the weaponsmith forum.

4) I don't really know on this one, probably good for starting out. Not too sure about later on.

yes they are in the game, there is no required certification, and look outside major cities for groups of houses, you'll probablybe able to find a weapon shop that has them

Does anyone have any they would like to sell? And at what cost?

It might help if you stated what server you were on.

Also, if you look on the bazaar, it seems like they're limited to 3000 credits. However, you're not likely to get a quality set that way.

I'm a pistol specialist working on becoming a brawler, and I have to say, this sucks. Unarmed combat is probably the slowest, most annoying way to fight in the Star Wars Galaxy. Pistol specialist wasn't too hard to get, and at least I can find a pistol that can actually kill something worth over 100 xp. Anybody who is even considering becoming an unarmed master should try to change it back to the way it was, because, judging by everybody else's posts, nobody seems to be happy with the change.

Do yourself a favour. Open with your bleedshot with pistol, then switch to unarmed and whiff away til it bleeds out. You'll get 100% unarmed combat experience. Unless they cjanged bleeds this patch, this is how it has always worked, and it works great for levelling horrid skills like unarmed.

Kind of stupid to have to do that though.

I agree but it's kind of stupid that now as a TK Master I have to resort to unarmedlunge1 (novice brawler) and unarmedlunge2 (master brawler) from a novice skill to have a ham effective knockdown.

I don't make the rules, I am just trying to help folks who are having to fight their way to unarmed mastery bare handed do it easier than I did. I hadn't spread this information before, as I thought of it as a cheesy exploit, but now I figure unarmed players can use it to get their unarmed mastery pre-req out of the way on the way to commando or smuggler.

I spent the first week of swg pouinding blues to dust over and over again to become tera kasi. i'd like to save others that grueling pain.

hey there, I am an unarmed 3 brawler and i can't use the knuckle. Heard from someone in the game that only TKA can use it. it that true? And er i checked my certification list and the knuckle is definately not in. Please help.

The certification for VK comes at TK novice. But, you do not have to be certified to actually use them. You will take a penalty in the amount of damage you inflict. As other posts have mentioned a good set of VKs have a base speed twice as fast a unarmed without them and do more damage. So even with the penalty you endup attacking twice as often for about the same damage per hit. Well worth it. Spam Beserk and you hit for about 200 damage almost every second and a half.
