Thanks for tuning in,
I'm totaly newb to SWG after a 4 year EverCrack addiction =/
Now onto the new SWG drug...
Looking for some input about the toon I'm going to create.
I've decided to go Human Fem. Brawler
Work on the lower tier close to the city gates.
Here is the questions I have...
What other profesion should I learn as I'm doing Brawler?
What skill should I work at first to help keep me on my feet and not taking a dirt nap?
Best way for a Newb Brawer to make money?
I've read allot about the Pikeman / Fencer / Swordman
Which one do you think is best?
Plan was also to work on some marksman skills too, to help with the pulls and the final snuff of a retreating creature. Your thoughts on this?
Thanks for the help in advance
A toon to be named later....
Newb to the ways of the Force

I can't answer most of your questions, but I will say that I HIGHLY recommend Novice Medic for your early character development, even if you dont plan on keeping it later. Purchase some Stimpack B's off the Bazaar or a vendor, and your downtime and dirt-time will be reduced tremendously.

Sounds logical to me.
Doc profesion to heal myself, then get rid of it when I gain some tiers.
Good advice, thanks

Well Doctor isn't really necessary but can be cool if you want to do it. It's great income but can be a slow grind if you don't know the tricks. You'll only need a few skills in medic. I'd say a few in each for starters will help you get the feel for it. Then you can pretty much just go with a few boxes of in the first tree. With some doc crafted stim b's you can get some good heals. I still have novice medic with BE clothes and I heal for 300-400 most times.

Medic is the only one you need but scout and marksman are good to. Since your new I'd give both a try so you can get a feel for each class. You may find you like range better then melee. Melees take alot of damage but as you get better you'll take less.

Do the mission your helper droid gives you. They give you money and teach you about each class. I think it was cool they added them but it seems most new players aren't using them. I get asked several times what this do or that. The droid explains it pretty good. With medic that will help you stay vertical longer.

Do the droids mission that will get you started then pretty much worry about getting some skills under your belt for awhile. Once you feel you got the hang of it and are killing worrts like they are paper head over to the mission terminals to get some missions and some more credits. When leveling always try to group with some one or get a droid/pet. Have it group with you and then leave it somewhere near town. The xp bonus is worth the trouble. You can find a mouse droid on the bazaar for pretty cheap.
I've read allot about the Pikeman / Fencer / Swordman
Which one do you think is best?
Depends on what you want to do. Each have there stronge points and weaknesses. Pikeman has great area attack for multiple targets. But is limited in there kind of damage. It's a decent pve prof. Fencer has high defence mods and is probablly one of the best pvp because of the stun baton and there mods. Most armor is low or no defence to stun. Swordsman is one of the best PVE melee classes and in my opinion one of the easiest to master. It does alot of damage but a bit slower then tka or fencer. IF you master brawler which I suggest you do if you plan on being mostly melee you will get a good feel for each. THe one you like in the lower levels is the one you probably keep in the hybrid levels. Except TKA that sucks at lower levels and is nice at higher levels.
Plan was also to work on some marksman skills too, to help with the pulls and the final snuff of a retreating creature. Your thoughts on this
As stated you should probably do this anyways. If you decide pvp is your game then having a mix of both is a good way to go. If you are just looking at the PVE side of things with master brawler you can do pretty good. As melee most area attacks go 360 where as ranges it's more of a cone effect so in reallity you want ot pull all the mobs in close so you can use it to it's gullest. No I wouldn't advise this at a low level but farther into the elite you go the better you can do this and still be alive at the end of it. Only time a pull really works on a mob that aides each other is if you have health shot at pistol 4. That way you can pull if you use another shot and don't peace oncethe target is aware his friends will aid you. If you peace then nothing will happen till the first bleed/tic starts and then that creature should attack you. But that is a clasic range tactic so you can find about all that over in the marksman boards. As far as a final snuff lunge 2 for master brawler will aid you in this. I get creates that flight at the end but if the y are stil 20m i can still hit them.
