I'm currently at 3-0-0-0 brawler, trying to go TKA. I've read everyone's suggestions on getting TKA in a few hours, and I've followed them to the letter, except for one thing. I'm a wookiee, with no armor, so quenkers kill me in a matter of seconds. Even with a doc friend helping, they mind incap me in under a minute.

I've resorted to killing Lesser Plains Bols, but getting 260 xp per kill is going to kill me...

any suggestions on what to kill that gives good xp, but won't kill an unarmored wookiee?

You need to get some good Vasarian Brandy. You can take two of them at a time and should boost all your mind stats by around 800-900. The brandy should last between 25-30 minutes. It can be expensive but is worth it in my opinion.

Get some wookiee armor. It's out there now. 50% kinetic will be plenty of protection against a couple quenkers if you're buffed.

In order to offset your mind, I would suggest using the following foods

Ahrissa +400 Focus
2 shots of Brandy +400 M/F/W
1 Canape +700 F/W

With these foods, your mind *should* be over 1500 (this includes if you could use armor). You can easily spam your specials. At Brawler 3, land and intimidate and then go beserk. Make sure you have a good speed sliced VK so you can swing faster. Musician buffs are an added benefit and would prevent you from having to use the Ahrissa and/or canape, but if you don't have the buffs, just use the foods.

thanks guys, I found a 1.8 speed VK on the bazaar and it's really helping. I also found that several people in various places leave their ent alt giving free mind buffs, some even do both dancer and musician. The wookiee armor is getting hard to find, I've been to armor shops all over Intrepid with no luck. If anyone knows of a good shop, please send me a WP.

Everyone who says about getting to TKA as a Wookiee is lying. It can't happen. Even if you find decent Wookiee armour, you'll have trouble going up against the much bigger cretures. (I know, I just spend around 100k on armour and brandy and such, I still get mind incapped). Take on white-yellow cons with a doctor friend healing you as you go. Try to take non-social and non-agro critters so you can sit down and let your mind regen when you need to. If you can, mitigate as many stat points into M/F/W as you dare, try and max out mind (you'l need the help of your local friendly neighbourhood ID) - and get buffed by a decent doctor. You should make enough money through missions to pay for this, hopefully.

Also, if you know a group of higher-level people who'll let you group with them, why not tag along and get a few hits in at ST's (if you're not a rebel you're a dissapointment to the Wookiee slaves everywhere) and Banthas and such, while your friend hopefully draw their fire.

Food and spices do help, but be wary of drugs.... and if you think it's a long trip to unarmed IV, wait 'til you're looking onto TK Novice and your first TK Skill box. Good luck.

Like the above post. Find someone who can hold the aggro and alow you to wack at a MOB with little fear of being hit.

On Lowca, my Master Brawler has level many melee and range PCs and havn't lost one yet. Well, I haven't lost the obediant PCs.
