The subject says it all. I used to be an Artisan way back and started a new character but, I can't imagine what I have to do to make some decent money. Someone pls advise.

What do you call decent money? Brawler is a starter profession. Most of the big time missions with the really big payouts don't happen until you hit an elite profession. Even with scout you will need an elite prof to kill the big time monsters that drop those large quantities of hides.

you do missions till you get enough money to buy some ubese armor then you can go to the adv planets and do the higher paying missions

Considering that I am curerntly at unarmed III and the missions are the missions are paying like 1000 a piece, it would take forever to make anough money to get Ubese armor. What do you do subsidize is my questions. It can't be all missions.

Yep. That's how it is. Brawler by itself is like having Marksman. You can do ok but if you want to make a living as a combat prof you need to level the elites or hybrids. Missions at 25-30k payouts are what you'll want to work up to and no way will you live as just a brawler. If your more interested in PVE then Master Swordsman or TKM is what you want to do. Sword is easier to level in my opinion but tkm can be a decent pvp prof as well. To live day by day just group up with a solo group or droid/pet and pull the missions you now you can handle. To grind, well that's another thread all together.

Take souvert destroy missions around anchorhead on Tatooine (or similar level creatures) - they may be a little advanced for the first couple of boxes up your desired weapon tree but you should be able to manage them. These pay around 600 credits each. Kill the creatures, harvest meat or hide from them (you'll need scout for this) and search the lairs for eggs or creature samples. Sell everything you get, keeping a little perhaps for traps/camps.
When you get to weapon box 3 or 4 start taking valarian swooper/jawa destroy missions. These pay around 1100 each. Which is probably the best you can do as a brawler. To get higher paying missions, you'll need to move on to a more advanced combat profession.

If your just doing regular missions at your level the ubeese is a great thing to have but not really necessary, you can use bone or none at all. Once you enter elites heading to dant will get you 5k missions to start. If you start saving each day and just spend money on the things you need the most stims, brandy, then you shouldhave a nice little egg sitting in the bank account before heading to dant. By then you should be able to afford better armor. If you find yourself short of enough cash to get the armor you want before heading to dant it is possible to do quenker missions without it. However you will need buffs/brandy and some synsteak couldn't hurt. If your able to do those then the money will come alot quicker.

This is what I did when I made a new character on a different server than my main. I was leveling for swordsman btw. I got my first 3 boxes on a starter planet. Then I saved up enough money for one doctor buff. Once I got that doctor buff, I went to dantooine and hunted quenkers and huurtons. I was able to kill these at 2-handed III and IV. In one buff session, I was able to make back the money to pay for the buffs that I got plus some extra. Actually after the one buff session, I was able to save enough money for another buff, plus I had the money to buy a cheap ubese jacket. From there, I just kept getting buffs and making sure to make enough money back to get a buff for my next play time. Once I had most of a full set of ubese, I was able to take on 27K Janta/Mokk missions on Dantooine with novice swordsman. I think I was 0201 or something when I started janta missions. Once you get to this point, keep grinding til master. Once you're a master, the money comes easy.......hope this helps.

I would say until you master one of the elite, I would take up novice scout and harvest avain meat or some hide that is really good stats. If you check your server's Trade forums, you should see a post or 2 about what people are buying currently. Then use SWGCREATURES.COM to find out what creatures drop what resource you need to collect. That way you can grind xp and make cash at the same time. Good Luck
