Hello all, I am a master pistoleer and master fencer and wanted to get a discussion about the differences between center of being and tumbling.

My suggestion was to enhance tumbling to serve much like center of being does for melee professions. The range support would give the same three tumbling skills, but woudl allow the user to mount, and use specials much like the melee CoB. To keep this balanced, the defense mod will only work while the ranged combatant would maintain their posture (and there would be an efficiency and duration mod much like center of being has), meaning a melee profession when they close on a range profession will be able to effectively cancel the defense mod with a posture down or knockdown attack. This balances the ability in PvP, but allows a range class a defensive benefit in PvE. To make this discussion effective I have a similar post in the marksman forum as well, it would be in the best interest of everyone if both groups were involved in the discussion. Hopefully if enough players like the idea, the correspondants for each profession can forward it to TH.

Tumbling Useless in Combat because it stops specials. CoB good because it helps boost chance to dodge, block, or counterattack.
