master brawler / master fencer / master swordsman / and one of the defense trees from pistoleer maybe 4xxx or xx4x
also does anyone know the cap for dodge bonus??

Dodge cap is 125, but squad leader bonuses and apparently CoB can bring that over the limit.

If you do master brawler/fencer/swordsman, that only leaves room for 3 boxes in pistoleer. With those 3 masteries, your dodge should be 115 (excluding any skill tapes), so I'd be more inclined to go xx3x pistoleer, to get the ranged mitigation.

Yea have to agree no reason to go 4,0,0,0 in pistoleer as master fencer you'll cap at 1,0,0,0 better to go 0,0,4,0 because they stack. All in all you really don't need the pistoleer line but it's still a good templet . Only downside is ranged can be tiring. Ya the lunge 2 helps but if I had my choice of hitting lunge 2 or whipping out last ditch or fan shot I'd go for the latter. If you aren't doing to much pvp this a good templet, if you do you wish you had ranged at some point. Atleast I did. Reason I picked up pistoleer/smuggler and dropped my all melee templet.
