Intimidate skill tapes, do they affect chance to intimidate or duration of intimidate?

I think it's chance, not sure exactly though.

Fencer 0/0/4/0
Bounty Hunter 0/0/4/0
Pistoleer 0/0/4/3
And a couple of other crappy ones....

I think they affect your chace of sticking the intimidate state on an opponent. I bought a +17 Intimidate/Warcry shirt the other day. If I have it on, I am able to intimidate 5 Jantas, one after the other, with success on the first attempt almost every time. Its alot more harder getting it to stick first up without the shirt on.

I could have beenjust lucky so I will need to testit more. It seems to be working though.

I can only guess it's chance, since the duration seems to be set at 10 or 20. I'm not sure how much any kind of bonus relates. You don't seem to have any bonus at novice brawler, and +20 at master brawler, and it seems to be relatively easy to land.

I imagine it's a calculation against their defense vs. intimidate. I think the highest def vs. intimidate in the game would be a fencer/swordsman/carbineer combo, since they're the only professions that get that bonus. I think you can get up to about +65.

But, I can't recall ever not being able to land intimidate after a few tries-- there's may be that minimum chance of one out of ten to land it. So if you had +20 intimidate from master brawler, and +25 from skill mods, it might help you land it without having to try multiple times.

By the way, before you purchase skill tapes, there are bioengineered tailor clothes that offer a pretty nice bonus, I've seen them go as high as +17 intimidate/+17 warcry, so it would be very easy to cap.

Oh, by the cap, I meant the +25 cap to using any skill mods. If you had a +17 shirt and +17 pants, and +20 from master brawler, the total would be +54, but since skillehancementscap at +25, you'd have +45.
