Could someone explain to me what the various stats on the DoT's mean, or direct me to another thread (perhaps a DoT FAQ) where they are explained better? I'd love to know the ins and outs, how they stack, whats good DoT stats are, etc. Thanks guys and gals!

Dots=Damage over time
There are 4 types of dots.
Bleeds-20 seconds per tick
Disease-20 seconds per tick
Poison-6-7 seconds per tick
Fire- about the same as poison, except the damage fire inflicts also wounds for that amount, i.e if your set on fire and it ticks for 233 mind, then you will have 233 mind wound each time the dot ticks. Disease works the same way.
Dots normally have the stats listed with them on the gun, except specials moves i.e mindshot,healthshot etc. Where their strength is pendent on how much you damage you hit for while using the move.
Dots on weapons usually come up with something like this:
Type(i.e mind fire, action poison etc.)
Potency-chance of the dot sticking
Strength-How much dmg it inflicts
Uses-how many times you can use that specific dot, (keep in mind this doesnt affect special moves like healthshot)
Duration-How long the dot lasts
You can stack dots, but only one type per ham bar, i.e you cant stack two mind poisons, but you can stack an action and mind poison together. Same applies for bleeds, fires and diseases.Good dots are usually ones that have high duration, strength, potency and at least 1k uses.
Hope this helps

Yes it does! Thanks a bunch. I'm currently working on building a jedi-killer, and I hear DoT's are the way to go. This information will be helpful, now I can begin collecting DoT weapons. Thanks!

I finally found out what potency meant. I knew all the other DoT stats, but I never figured out potency. It makes sense to me now. Thanks a lot

Just as a further clarification, in case you don't know, you must be certified with the DOT weapon you are using for the DOT to work.
