I keep reading posts about now warcry was "nerfed" but I never read (or don't remember reading) any patch notes about it. What's the deal?

It used to be... you spam warcry on them, you can attack them, but they cant attack you. Now I think its, you warcry them and they cant attack you till you hit them once, then they can attack you.

It's probably heading for another 'rebalance' becuse of the Warcry/DoT combo being a little *coughs* overpowered

yup Warcry will be nerfed again so that DoT damage breaks it. You can solo krayt etc easily with Commando or CM/Novice Brawler by stacking DoTs and spamming warcry/intimidate.

The original "nerf" was to make warcry break the first time you attack the person. The new issue with applying dots and warcry, as much as I am ALWAYS against nerfs, this is a big issue and will need to be addressed soon. If anyone has a compromise solution other than warcry is dropped when the dot ticks, I am alll ears.

War Cry followed up by a couple intimidates is also a nasty combo.

Solution: Fix the damn damage over time applications! The problem is not warcry, the problem is people who can lay a DOT on someone or something that tics for 1000 say...mind wounds at a time.

But our counter is to be able to heal that. Warcry makes that impossible. Espescially versus the NPCs, seriousally, I can fight a Krayt with my CM/Novice Brawler, and not get hit for upwards of a minute straight just from spamming warcry/intimidate (or at least get hit very little) while the DoTs tick and do all the damage. Once you get the technique down, anything is soloable, just like with timerless Knockdowns.

Well...can warcry be resisted? I don't think I've seen it happen, but that would be a nice mitigating factor right?

Sorry to tell you this but that is not a solution.

The problem ISwarcry, that particular skillhas been overpowered for a very very long time even the so called 'nerf' of it didnt do much other than force people to hit /peace after they hit a warcry.

Being able to prevent someone from doing anything remotely useful other than move for 10 or 20 seconds is just incredibly overpowered and very unbalanced.

Being able to 'kill' someone in 20 seconds is more overpowered, wouldn't you agree? If you couldn't actually 'do' that then there would be no problem with a 10-20 second pause on someone else. Also, if you add in resists to warcry (even just possible ones) then it would function more akin to intimidate in power, doesn't always work, but when it does you get a breather.

One star me all you like, but if you tried to look at it from a balanced point of view maybeyou'd understand how overpowered it is.

What exactly does being killed or being able to kill someone in 20 seconds have to do with the fact being forced to do nothing for 20 seconds is absurdly overpowered?

I would really like someone to explain to me how warcry is not an overpowered skill.

Simple silverion, the effect is broken if ANY attacks are made on the person. Now, if you want to include dot's then warcry becomes COMPLETELY useless as there's no way to stop those from ticking. This would be as good as just removing warcry, both are stupid ideas.

It would be FAR fairer for the entire game to fix the BROKEN DOT's in this game, not to nerf valid and fair skills out of existence.
