Okay,I'm SURE this has been answered before, but what do you put into clothing/armor slots, and where do you find them?

You put skill enhancing attachments into them, buy dragging the stat enhancer onto the socketed item.

The ribbon/tape looking ones are for clothes, and the square ones are for armor (although they don't work at the moment) - I have yet to make or see any armor with sockets. They also don't seem to work with socketed backpacks, as they just go into the backpack, instead of being "used" on the backpack.
I think each stat increase goes against the number of slots on an item, too. For instance, if you get one that has, lets say, "Rifle Speed 3" and "Food Assembly 1" and use it on an item that has 3 slots, all you will get is the rifle speed.
Also, be wary of negative modifiers on the enhancers.

These can be found on NPC's corpses after killing them (rarely), but there are a lot on the bazaar (in my galaxy, at least).
