Well be glad, as of tomorrow's patch, vibro knucklers will require certification. Only TKAs will be able to use them.

Whatever happened to having an Unarmed combat tree? Last I checked we are either required to use a Vibro Knuckler or die. Doesn't this kind of defeat the purpose of having an unarmed profession?


I say that Vibro Knucklers should be taken out or moved. Unarmed damage should be greatly improved so that we can do decent damage without a Vibro Knuckler. Allow us to actually play an unarmed character.

Actually, this doesn't solve the problem. Before TKA (and getting VKs) Unarmed damage stinks. What I am saying is bring up unarmed damage without VKs to a level on par with other weapons and remove VKs from the unarmed class altogether.

Unarmed speed also needs to be greatly fixed. Perhaps if they increase the damage to like 50-100 and give us a speed of 1 or something like that.

r the record I have never ever in the history of MMORGs ( I started with Meridian 59 ) complained about a change, but this was just a stupid move. I don't understand the logic behind making it so I can hardly kill Blue consand have to sit through 5 min of down time for ever kill.

I got a box into TK before even buying VKs. I want to save you the same pain. Don't let anyone tell you getting master unarmed bare handed is fun or acharacter-building. It's not. It's tedious, frustrating and ugly.


My best advice, learned too late to be used by myself, is to use marksman bleed attacks to open, and then switch to your bare hands for the duration of the combat. Run away from the mob while it bleeds out, fight it and take a beating, do as you please. All you need to do is land ONE unarmed hit and keep any weapons out of your hands and you'll end up with 100% unarmed kill experience when it finally falls over from the bleeds.


Unless they changed the way bleeds work in this patch - I no longer have any marksman skills at all so I can't test this - the bleed shot itself does zero damage, only the bleeds do damage, and if you're whiffing with another weapon, the bleed damage is attributed to that weapon.


Hope this helps you folks struggling to get unarmed master. I have been trying to pass it along all day but it keeps getting buried. And oh yes, if you're getting unarmed master to become tk, just say no. Until they fix our now nerfed knockdown attacks, the profession is hosed (aka not worth playing).

I know that right now damage without knucklers sucks. What I am saying is to fix the damage and/or greatly increase attack speed while unarmed. That way we wouldn't need knucklers and would actually be an unarmed class.
