Is melee defense like Armor Class where you cause things to miss you or is it just a generic form of toughness that works with any weapon.

Melee toughness and weapon toughness are very similar, but have a few differring qualities that seperate them. Melee toughness is defense vs melee attacks. I am pretty sure that specific weapon toughness is meleedefense when using that weapon.
