I have a pair of 1.7 vibros. Seems like my Unarmed master is still better off wearing, despite the certification requirement, cause the speed him up. Seems to me this is what needs to be corrected. So the vibros take 10-12 points off my attack, but I can still attack twice as much.

Base hand to hand should be less then 2

bump....what is our unarmed base speed? And if it's higher than when I used to use my VK's, why? I have nothing in my hands at all.

I dont know the excact speed when not haveing any weapons in hands, but I do know it's slower then 1.7, since I've tested that. I use VK too with 1.7 speed. I'm guessing somewhere in the 2 or 3.0 range.

I would say 3.0-4.0 from a rough guess. All creatures attack at 2.0, and they seem to get 1.5-2 attacks for each of ours at Novice.

Knowing the creature rate, I suspect someone could figure out our speed by counting up our total attacks and that of a mob during one fight (without specials).

A post on the TKA board says base unarmed attack speed is 4.0.

Base unarmed speed is 4.0.

Its actually slower than NPC unarmed attacks.

Truly pathetic.

I'm actually using the vibro knucklers despite the non-certificate i have (going for unarmed 4 right now) I do notice that although I hit less damage I am hitting at about 2x the rate so I might as well get these sliced or something as they are helping
