I bought this game shortly after its release....I thought...Hey Ill be a wookie...Ill carry a BIG sword and Ill do a lot of reaking of Havok...then as it turns out they developed this thing called "RUN" in which the opposite person runs around shooting you while you try your hardest to get one single decent hit on him...or her...or it... SO you buy a REALLY GOOD weapon...and you start doing some major damage.....you stay away from things that can run faster than a gubbur...and the developers in all their infinite wisdom make the little things 10 times harder to kill....

Does this sound familiar to anyone. ... Im paging through the forums trying to find an answer to lifes deepest question. Ive spent the last month and a half ( maybe longer?!) making my Wookiee a killing machine...NOW when will be be a killing machine) and just a side note..is anyone else a bit upset that THE STUN BATONS arent working??!) Good news is the Bleed stab....fencer...you bleed the little cusses and then die...but wait around for them to drop..and rejoice in your victory!

What am I saying? I have no idea...any advice on Brawling would be nice!

Brawlers are the weakest combat class in the game. So make sure to attack whites or below and avoid anyone with a blaster.

commando are the weakest still.

actually i can solo a red con with my trandy hehe takes a while though and i have to pick WHICH red carefully. first off i have to admit i am master brawler and that i went for maximum defense. my current melee defense is 64. in the master brawler line is intimidate 2 this ability halves the dmg you take and (i think) makes the creature miss more. on a mountain skrill i have been missed 8 times in a row with this applied. basicly with my 42% resist all for master swordsman offense and below combined with half from intimidate... and combine that with armour for anouther reduction... i often get hit for 26...

what i mean by this is not nyah nyah i can do it ... i mean that as brawlers go up in lvls we get more and more powerful (not that the server latency problem doesnt still haunt us in pvp and when mobs kite us). with us we continue to increase in defense and melee resists while a marksman usually doesnt get the same amounts of increases to their defenses... and never get universal resists. im not saying one is better than the other, just, we do well... just MUCH later in life than a marksman and we really need to be more focused to do it as well... i.e. take a lot of the melee and ranged resists and you SHOULD have master brawler if you plan to live completely within the melee realm.

for a wookie you would have a harder time i admit... as youwill take double dmg... but then you actually will have close to double the hp as well.. for a wookie i would also use warcry 2 if i could afford the 200 or so per attempt. this area attack seems to slow the enemy to double their attack times i.e. a 2 sec attack becomes a 4 sec attack and seems to last about 2 min as well although i havent yet tested this. when i have intimidate 2 and warcry 2 on a mob i usually heal faster than i take dmg.

finally i rarely use specials except when i AOE kill blues... they just plain old cost me more than they are worth... i use the blind from fencer then just beat it down with normal attacks... if it lasts 2 min (read red con or a higher armoured tgt, avoid anything with a higher armour than your weapons ap) then i reapply the intimidate.

sorry for the rambling style here watching the breed as i write and am thinking of things as i watch hehe gl though and hope this helps a little

I can kill multiple whites at a time, I can kill reds solo, no pets, no guns, nothing but me, my armor and a long vibro axe. I am a master polearm specialist, just about 100,000 more xp to get to novice pikeman.

I love my job, and I dont know why I come to the forums and read whine posts. You will get killed by somebody with a gun, period.

Sure I take more damage than somebody who is 50 meters away from their target but that is because I CHOOSE to be ontop of my target in a life or death struggle because I ENJOY it and CHOOSE (there is that word again) to do it.

If you pick the brawler profession you CHOOSE to be a brawler. As a result of you choice, you get hit more, and if you don't like it, stop being a brawler and CHOOSE to pick up a gun. It's not hard.

The magic word for today is CHOOSE.
