Thread: I want a health hit for intermidiate unarmed

Marksmen all have a particular pool attack at their intermediate skill level...why not for brawlers as well? This is probably one of the biggest reasons why marksmen do so much better than brawlers at lower levels. All my marksmen has to do is kite a creature while spamming bodyshot and the thing is sure to go down in time. Yet my brawler has to stand face to face with the creature, taking tons of damage, all while hoping I'll hit the creatures health pool more than the rest.


Manytime I have been incapped in a fight while the creature barely had any health, action, and mind. Does anyone agree with me that we need something like this? Brawlers don't get a specific hit until they go into the advanced professions, yet marksmen get it as noobs. They can take down anything easier - much easier - than we can. Please say I'm not the only one who feels this way. Taking 5 minutes breaks between each weaker whitecon I face is getting old.

While selfishly, I would agree with you. It'd be nice and more fun to be able to determine where I hit someone.


However...the way it's set up now makes sense. Marksmen have GUNS. Guns usually make people dead before they make them dizzy, or stunned, etcetera.


Even joe blow of the street can point a gun at someone at point blank range and it likely (unless he's a moron) to hit that person in the body. Fighting HTH or with a Melee weapon is a different story.


It takes a well trained person to hit a target where it hurts using only fists.

No. No no no, a thousand times, NO!

Why?

Take a look in the Teras Kasi tree. TKA is the only profession I know of in the game that can target any pool, and not just one of the three. Other combat professions hit one pool. TKA hits them all, and has a choice. I'll take the advanced skills later over a watered-down version earlier, thank you.

Actually...I know. I was within the first few TKA boxes in beta...never got high enough to enjoy the other skills. But I still ruled enough to make my happy and have a lot of fun playing. I could single handedly fend off 2-3 large creatures while groupmates pounded them, most other novice TKAs fell to my tactics. I was even able to best my riflemen friend a few times. That said, don't make useless posts please.

The beta experience is over, and unarmed is beingnerfed left and right. If you think your gameplay is going to be the same in live as it was in beta, you're mistaken.

Brawler hasn't changed from end of beta except for berserk as far as I know

Funny, thats the only worthwhile thing unarmed had going for it...



50% nerf to bezerk is huge. Someone else hit it right on the money, what worthwhile abilities does unarmed have in brawler tree now? None.
