Look maybe its true that a marksman can take out a brawler but can he take out a TKA. Comparing beginning classes is worthless. Withen a few months none of use will be brawlers anymore. We'll be smugglers or TKAs or Bounty hunters or what ever. The point being if the elite and hybrid classes arnt able to handle a marksman then maybe theres a balance issue. But comparing classes when your just a beginner is worthless.

Gotta agree. Comparing base classes is silly. If a TKA has problems taking on pistoleers or the other hybrids then there will be need for balancing. The only problem I've had so far is low damage output on my brawler, but I think that is just a learning curve problem on my part.

A master TKA will never be able to take even a novice marksman with a CDEF. All the person has to do is keep moving, and the TKA will die.

spaz_ hair lip first rule of combat never ever fight on a battlefield chosen by the enemy. I believe san tsu ( nice name) would agree with me there. But truthfully how many elite professions peopel are going to go overt without some training in marksmen. None because they are not that stupid too. Where Tka or fencer comes in handy is say i am in town 90 % of overt fights occur in town. I look at my radar and see a bunch of red dots closing in on me. I duck into a building pull out my vibroblade and wait right next to the door out of view. Now they have two choices they go in or they dont or they wait by the door. they dont come in or wait i win by because i survive. If they wait i radio in friends with their exact position and numbers giving my side a big advantage. If they come in they just entered a blood bath because me and my vibroblade go to town first disabling them then killing them. In those close quarters they cant run and cant escape. meanwhile i get damage bonus from their guns and from their posture once i knock them over. its all about using your head.

Yes. Marksmen, Pistoliers, Carbinersand Riflemen can easily take out TKA. All they have to do is kite.

Like I've said many times now, the problem is not with PVE (mobs don't kite well), it's with PVP and the unfair advantage that kiting gives the marksmen over mobs and all brawler players.

You can be happy with playing a gimped profession if you want - but PLEASE DONT TELL THE REST OF US WE HAVE TO BE. I think if you read the posts here, you will find you are in the minority.

i don't have a problem with kiting it's a viable tactic...strange coming from a brawler no?

if i encounter someone with a blaster in the wild i do one of three things burst run to them burst run from them and jump in one of those wash outs and wait for them to come close to the edge to be able to hit me instead of dirt and once they do...i leap out and charge and no matter how far they run your still right there with them...only way for them to get away is burst run...

in city environments it's EASY to ambush someone using a blaster and before they know it they're gettin pummeled to death when they round the corner...and when you knock them to their knee or better yet down! cash in their chips and collect your prize

I understand that people worry about kiting but there are ways around that like some have already said. Also you can still use unarmed lunge to close the distance it wont do much damage but it will slow them down.

Im not saying everything is balanced but with a little thought the weaknesses can be overcome its worked for me so far.

my only complaint is killing my self with special moves...and getting hit...a LOT if i had a stronger defense it would be worth it

and unarmed brawlers get the ability to attack specific pools...just under teras kesai precision striking allows that....teras kesai i think is going to surprise a lot of people...it even says in the holocron...that teras kesai is the hardest to master i can accept that...i just expect the rewards to be just as great...so far theres VERY little pay off

Yes i agree it is impossible to compare right now, I am not going to finish this game as a brawler, and I don't think any other brawlers will they want to either. Give it a few months to see how hybrid and elite classes work out I think some Marksman might change there minds on if brawlers are worthwile or not.

I like kiting too, actually. Other than the part where the brawlers always lose, it makes the fights a LOT more interesting than they would be if we all just stood there. Marksmen are ranged combatants - they should have to stay at range from their opponents. Staying at range by kiting gives them a big advantage though and there is nothing in the GAME to balance that. All we need is lower costs for the brawler specials and a higher damage multiplier whenbrawlers get close enough to actually hit the marksmen.

Thiswould not remove kiting from the game - it would make it a lot more interesting.

Even without kitingthere are problems with brawlers not being able to concentrate their damage on a single HAM pool while marksmen can... And that marksmen canjust buy higher damage weaponsbut brawlers can't... And that marksmen don't get hit byfleeing mobs butbrawlers do... And that a marksmanonly needs3-5 metersof distance to escapefrommelee damage but a brawlers need more like 64 to escape from ranged damage... etc. & so forth ad nausium.

There will always be some discrepancies between the professions but these are huge issues and the changes they'veimplemented so far have onlymadethem worse.

Maybe their solution is to nerf brawlers until nobody plays them to stop the complaints (kidding I hope).
