I am having hard time figuring out if there are any advantages og disadvantages to picking Scout as start profession and then Brawler.

I want to be brawler first and foremost, but I needed theGCT, so I started with Scout. Was that wrong? Will I get penalized somehow for not choosing Brawler first?

Sorry if this sound like a newbie question, but thats what I am ;o)

The only things your starting profession affects are your begining items and the distribution of your stat points.

- Stat points can be instantly reset during the tutorial, or slowly migrated during normal play. So no biggie if they need to be adjusted.

- I like artisan as a start so I get the survey tools as well as the generic tool. You can find these available for cheap or free within a day of a server opening though.

- For the low, low price of 100 credits each you can purchase all the novice professions. On Sunnrunner i had all six within 30 minutes of loging in for the first time (granted I've had lots of practice...).

In summery, you're fine.

You don't want all of them because they will take too many points. Just get

what your going to use.

I started as a brawler but immediately trained in scout and marksman. IT really doesnt matter which you pick unless you care about the starting equipment which can be bought for chump change. Remember that each tree usually has different experience then the others at least with beginning class's. So work on all of the ones you want at the same time. I now have Explore4/ pistol 4/ unarmed 3 almost to 4/ Survive 2 almost 3 and when i get unarmed 4, should be by tomorrow I start on smuggler.

What you choose as a starting class really doesnt mean much remember you can learn and unlearn skills anytime you want with the right exp and enought money,

Actually there it no harm in taking all of them... Then you can play around till you find what you use the most and drop what you don't need.... 250 skill points won't be a problem untill you get into the specialization professions anyway...
