I neglected to mention, that the knuckler damage is from the combat window. In realtiy I am getting a 25% bonus to damage due to the knuckler's penetration of 1.
The adjusted damage (Armor=None mobs):
Normal - 75-81
Blind1 - 150-162
Speed - 2.3
For Armor=Light mobs the above is correct for the knucklers, whereas the unarmed is reduced in half.

I hadn't played my aspiring TKA since the patch. I was already smarting from the regen times on creature handlers, so I really wasn't looking forward to the massive damage reduction everyone is talking about for unarmed.
Running around for a short while and I wasn't seeming to fair any worse. So I did some short tests using both my knucklers and completely unarmed.
Unarmed damage and speed:
Normal - 65-80
Blind1 - 150-160
Speed - 3.8 (Base 4.0 with +20 from expert)
Looted VK Damage and speed:
Normal - 60-65
Blind1 - 120-130
Speed - 2.3 (Base 2.5 with +20)
While using my knucklers my damage was only slightly below being unarmed, but I was attacking at about 66% faster, so I was still outdamaging being totally unarmed.
The trick here that is important: use looted knucklers. Why? Yes you will be a little faster with crafted ones, but you can spam special attacks with looted knucklers because they have 19/32/19 HAM costs. Their speed is still good, and our +unarmed damage is factored after the certification reduction.
Slicing these for speed (damage is pointless) would further increase your damage output while still uncertified.
I know we still have problems, and this isn't a complete fix, but give looted knucklers a try and see if it helps you enjoy combat a little more.

quite intresting solution. Its nice to see someone actually looking beyond the 'nerf' for a solution instead of bashing the devs. I havent played that long and was forced after patch to go strictly unarmed (no knuckles since unarmed 2). And yes I agree its boring but then again it shouldnt be a walk in the park to become master unarmed so instead of being frustrated throwing harsh words here try find a solution.
Just my two cents ![]()
Seiryuu - on a side note, you have any idea where those looted knuckles can be find (which mob dropped yours), ive been trying to find them but with no success.

I've bought three pairs off the bazaar in Tyrena, Tarquinus server. None of them had much durability and I wanted back-ups for when I go to repair them.
I have heard the the pirates on Lok have a tendancy to drop them, but cannot confirm this.
Your best bet is to go to the bazaar, try a planet-wide search first, then a galaxy-wide if you don't mind some travel. Use the details button to double-check that they are looted (The HAM costs are enough to confirm this).
With the loot reduction, I don't know if these will be dropping much, so you may have to wait until that is fixed. If you see a pair, I would recommend grabbing it ASAP.
