Thread: Petition: Berserk2 changes

Hi friends, Quick and short post, please bump me or state a reason why you would agree or disagree with me.


The recent big patch brought Berserk2 down from its origianl state, they ( Formally known as Dev's ) made the change on all code that uses berserk. Berserk has change in a dramatic way, most apparent would be the decrease to damage.


While berserk1 went under changes from double damage too 75pt damage increase, which is knowablity a smart move because berserk1 is at Novice and should not be as strong as Berserk2.


But what is the same, is that Berserk2 is the same as Berserk1. In the descriptionof Berserk2, it states, on the last sentance, Berserk2 is more powerful then Berserk1. After doing some testing ingame, i have easily come to the conclusion, that Berserk2 is NOT more powerful then berserk1. Infact, they do the same amount of damage.


This is a petition to ask the dev's, if they stop at these boards, to increase the damage on Berserk2 to bring it up to par as a Master Tier skill. It currently has the same effective power, ham costs, and damage as Berserk1 in a Novice Tier box. Please help me change this. A simple idea on Berserk2 would to increase the damage of it by another 75pts, bringing it to a total of 150pt damage increase. Berserk2 should not be in equal power as its lower counterpart, Berserk1!

I did not get Master Brawler so I could have a longer duration zerk...


Berserk damage is crap now!!! Damage is just not worth using anymore.

I will sign as well , but Devs have been completely ignoring the issue. They won't even clarify the changes to Beserk2. You can ask till you're blue in the face the difference between Beserk1 and 2 and no developer will answer its like they are purposely ignoring the question.

75pt damage add is just stupid. It makes a newbie a worrt killing god, but after you advance its like a drop in the bucket. 150pt damage add for Beserk2 would be a welcome change though, anything is better than the pitiful enhancement it is now.

You think it's bad, but think about pikemen. We have a much slower attack speed but harder hits, the 75 dmg means our dps increase is TINY compared to what the faster melee guys are getting. This was a terrible change, WHAT WERE THE REASONS/JUSTIFICATION??? Lol were melee classes too strong before?

I dont think ppl understand how much Berserk2 is nerfed.


For the whole duration of Berserk2,you cant use any specials or burst run.


You have no defense and you will get hit alot more


Only do to+75 more dmg.

Berserk 2 was the main reason I beat myself up to get to Master Brawler, and shortly after I achieve it it gets torn away. As things stand right now, I have no reason to hit my Berserk 2 hot key; it just inconveniences me by making me unable to perform most actions and I get to take a lot more damage. I think Berserk 1 is fine as it is, because it's a bigger help to new Brawlers that way, but please, give me some reason to hit my Berserk 2 hotkey again. If 2x damage is too much, fine, but just make it balanced so that it makes sense for me to use it sometimes. I think a 150 point damage increase would be a reasonable compromise for this skill.

only decent things in the master brawler skill now is knockdown. im tempted to unlearn it and all other unecisary skills because it cut my damage down by almost half! i went from doing 1000-1500 a hit to 500-750! Im killin monsters with 10k+ ham if i kill that slow they will just run when they get low on HAM making it almost imposible for me to kill anything. i really hope they bring berserk2 back up to master worthy.

Double the damage, and possibly halve the length.

burst run works while beserk but its basically the only thing.

you can't survey, craft, sit, do any special moves, or switch it off. Since you can't sit you can't logout till it wears off.

75 pt damage add is really a brain dead thing to do, and you have to wonder if anyone at SOE actually thought it through.

The changes that effected berserk1 are great, understandable, for it is a novice teir box skill. BUT,



the changes to Berserk2 are unacceptable, it just does not make any sense for a Master Tier Skill to be the exact same as Novice Tier Skill AND hurts you more, because it LAST longer, You have lower Defense, and it only increases a 75pt dmg increase. And Costs more HAM, ACKKK. Please fix.

I am thinking about puting this thread on SWG discussion but i dont know how many people would auctelly stop by and say something because the SWG discussion board is has new stuff posted on it all the time.

bump back to the top because this is an important skill for us brawlers, and its just simple in logic that a skill that is higher then its previous skill should be stronger. Why are berserk1 = berserk2? its rediculas!!
