First off I am new, and this thread represents my aim to help others out, and also to see the weaknesses I may have in my own strategy.

I am a Zabrak Unarmed Expert as of now on the server Chilastra. Based in Coronet on Correllia.

1. Vibroknucklers: Any unarmed fighter without one is suicidal. Get one fast.

2. In most fights I have noticed a few major things which others seem to miss. The first special attack you get as a novice brawler is the unarmed lunge. Now mostly this is useless, except in one instance and that is kiting marksmen or fleeing creatures. I have heard of brawlers being killed because they cannot hit there enemies as theyrun away, and really this is the brawlers on fault for a couple of reasons. One don't usethe /follow command to chase enemies, it doesn't put you in range and keeps them hitting you as they run away. Secondlearn to 'anitcipate' where your enemy is running to. By this I mean run past them until you can get in front of them to stop and take a swing as they come by. This only works on npc's and creatures however. Thirdly, use lunge to knock them on one knee as theyrun. I have done this many times to all types of creatures around coronet and it has worked every time to give me that neededkilling blow.

3. The other special manuever's you aquirelater in the skill tree seem to beusefulfor one type of enemy. The stunattack is the most useful for melee cretures and blind is most useful for marksmen enemies. This seemsso simple to understand, but I have seen many who don't understand why blind or stun doesn't do very much, when it does to certain types. I have had marksmen npc's miss me all day after being blinded. Well not all day, but during thewhole duration.Stun is by far the most effective and I use it on everythingbefore a fight.

4. Don't use specials while your vibroknucklers are equipped. I typically only use specials at the begining of the fight and never afterwards to much of a degree.Unless you have some kind of rediculously low ham cost on your knucklers always remember to take them off before using specials. Hotkey them for ease of use.

5. Fight groups of enemies one at a time.I can't stress thisenough, brawlers are meant to fight toeto toe, not toe to toe to toe. You can, but in the long run your best bet is to go mono e mono all the time until you get the spin attack.

6.Invest in some armor. Not a whole set, but just bits and peices. And always use armor with a high 'Kinetic' resistance, as these give protection from melee damage best. I currently use chitin biceps, bracers, and boots. I choose this combination for look and because it didn't make my stats toolow. After a bad fight, take all your armor off as you regenerate ham bars. With the armor off you will regenerate it faster.

7. Berserk can be your best friend against a tough enemy. I only use it on yellows and reds. Remeber tonot have your knucklers equipped while using it. In this same line I will speak about intimidate. I never use it and I never had to. Many claim that it reduces a lot of damage to you from enemies, but I have seen no differencewhen using itbefore or after stun. As a matter of factI think that stun lessens damage more than initimidate and stacking the two only makes it the same. What I mean by this is that stun overtakes the bonusof intimidate, and they seem not to stack togetherfor me, so I don't see what the fuss is about it.

This is all I can think of for now, I may add more to it when something comes up. Feedback is welcome!

as to stun and intimadate, intimidate is effective when it is successful, but it fails quite often and it's not rare for it to fail 3+ times in a row. As the targets get stronger, I find intimidate less and less useful due to it's failure rate.

Another note, with the knuckler certification at teras kasi, the only advantage to using knucklers is the speed increase. Damage per hit will actually be lower, but your normal attack speed compensates by swinging almost twice as fast.

Due to the knuckler's armor penetration, the damage is actually about even (before the speed increase). You have to watch the numbers above the target's head as opposed to the combat tab. Multiply what is in the combat tab by 1.25 to get the real damage if you can't see the floating number. Against an opponent with light armor, the knucklers are better yet.

If you use looted knucklers, the HAM costs are equivalent to being unarmed.

Looted knucklers are knucklers you find when you kill an NPC (Non-Player Character). I have yet to find any, but I guess I'm not killing high-level NPC's.

Since the patch, loot drops are almost non-existant. It is being looked into and hopefully resolved soon.

I've bought all mine from the bazaar, so you might try there.

Human, Unarmed Expert. My Strategy:

White con's and lower:

Get there attention with a thrown trap (stink bomb is good) or a pistol.
Switch to unarmed.
Warcry1
Initimidate
Unarmedhit1
Initimidate (If it didn't take).
Unarmedstun.
UnarmedBlind.
Unarmedhit1
Intimidate
Unarmedhit1 until dead. Throw in the odd initimidate to keep it up.

Stink bomb makes the target vunourable to initimidate btw.

Yellow/Red con:
Bodyshot2 (with good pistol) til HAM is below the half-way point.
Finish enemy off with the strategy described above.

Be sure to use Stim-packs while fighting. Can keep you alive a little longer and off course helps you recover faster in between fights.

BTW.
Vibro Knuckles are NOT needed. :-)

I forgot to mention.. If you take on red con's.. Good luck! You might want to use that trusty old pistol until almost all of the targets healthpool has been depleted if you want to swing your fists at it!
