Thread: new skill: charge
We need the skill "charge." It will make us sprint to our target with increased run speed. It could have high HAM use even though it would not be an attack.
We need something simple like this to have a chance vs. kiting.

Its when somebody shoots you and runs away while shooting you so that you can't get to em and foch em up good and while it's a great strategy for them it totally BLOWS for us and makes you want to /throwmouse and /bangkeyboard and /curse like a mofo.

Charge 1
Damage Modifier 2
Health Cost (weapon cost x (.1 x Range)
ActionCost (weapon cost x (.2 x Range)
MindCost .6
or you could use lunge.
one of those two things should work.

The way I see charge working is it is /follow plus mini-burst-run. So like /follow it wouldonly work when you have a target selected. Because it is a attack he could not charge teamates with going thou the dual thing. he could target NPCs but he would be argoing them.
Would there be a re-use timer?
Maybe we should just get reduced burst timers as we progress through the brawler or elite brawler professions.
if this is timed, or on a reuse timer then it will not stop kiting at all, we will still be kited. if a marksmen's burst is up we will still be kited.
I still think the answer to kiting is to increase movement penalties and our defense such that they rarely hit (when we are at master level) unless they stop to shoot. shooting over your shoulder at a moving target is hard enough as is, and if they can't hit us while moving due to the combination of us moving and our innate defence from our skill with our weapon then the issue is a moot point. our reflexes would be so tuned and their accurracy so off that we can easily avoid the shots at master level (of course their level in marksmen professions would modify it as well)

The point is it would make you run TOWARD your target.
