Thread: VibroKnuckles Tip
Something I've been doing to avoid killing myself with the vibroknuckles is to unequip them, then Stun and Blind my opponent before re-equipping them to finish the fight with regular attacks. This is easily accomplisthed by havingthe knucks assigned to an F-Key. I'm not too sure about Stun (it seems to help some) but Blind seems to make them miss a lot which really helps with down-time and multiple opponents.
Anyone else have any good tips?

1) Always apply melee powerups to your VK's
2) Unequip VK's, Berserk, Re-equip VK's

FYI, applying power ups to weapons would increase its decay rate... If you use a lot of power ups, expect to see your weapons run out of condition fast.
Also, berserk is not related to HAM cost. The cost for berserk stays the same for me when I am using the vibro knuckler or not. You can berserk while using VKs without any extra cost, but if you use specials like unarmed hit or bind/stun... take off knucklers first or expect to see quadriple HAM costs.
Personally I am starting to find that using a fast VK, without using berserk is the best way to fight when I solo. I take significant less amount of damage and dodge more often when I am not berserked, granted it'd take a bit longer to take mobs down.
Zaedionx, I'm pretty sure VKs effect your HAM costs for zerking. I'll double check when I get off work tonight. I just bought a better set and my HAM costs while zerking have lowered. And I remember when I first bought a set my HAM costs increased when zerking.
As far as melee enhancements destroying your VK sooner, probably, however if you get the right kind, they can really save on your HAM costs. I get the health cost one, I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head. I believe it's the Balancing one. It helps tremendously when fighting, less health cost when I zerk on a critter. However, the only bad part is it lasts 100 swings (hit or miss) and then you need to reapply it. Since the melee enchancements are random when you make them, you never know what you are going to get or you may make 15 of them and not get any of the ones you want.

Easiest way to test HAM costs is to just hit zerk w/o a target. Switch to your battlefatigue screen (4th icon over going left to right) then write down how much your health/action/mind are, then heal full and try w/o the knuckles, etc... Those floating numbers seem glitched, I can hit a mob for 304 but I'll see 350 or something float over its head or even 250.

for the comment about weapon degradation... just find a friend that's an architect, and get them to fix your VK for you...
