Thread: Solution to Brawlers Problems? (Medium Length)

I ask that you read at least the solution paragraphs as I know this is a pretty tiresome read.

1. This is the most IMPORTANT problem regarding the brawler class. Our characters will not attack enemy PC in PvP even when we are 0-1m away from them.

Solution:

Increase the max range of our current weapons by 2m OR let us attack while running.

2. Lack of melee defense. Let's face it, even at master our melee defense skill is no help, neither is toughness.

Solution:

Grant brawlers the Dodge or Parry Skill. Personally I can't see how SOE left out the ability to parry on a melee class. Thats like making a cheese sandwich without the bloody cheese. (Notice I do not mean Cheese with blood on them.)

3. Beserk is useless in PvP due to the HAM usage of all Brawler professions in general. Let's face it, after we hit 'sprint', lunge, and use a status effecting ability to keep opponent on ground (Ex: Dizzy or Position Down) We have burnt through a good portion of our HAM bar's and then count in the fact that the ranged opponent or even melee opponent is wailing on ya and you can see that most of the time we can't use Beserk due to low HAM's, or we are busy trying to keep the opponent on the ground (I will cover this later).

Another problem with Beserk is that, while Beserked, we can't use any styles, even 'sprint'. I can understand this being done by SOE to prevent us from doing one shot kill's, but Beserk is only effective if the opponent is not moving due to bugs in 'Problem 1' above.

Solution:

Decrease the amount of HAM bar used For Beserk by 15-20%, or do away with the HAM usage altogether. Allow us to use lunge while in Beserk mode to keep our opponent's from running.

4. The duration of our position changing styles do not last long enough to keep an opponent pinned down unless a Style with a 'Dizzy' status on it is used. Meaning these styles are pointless unless you have a weapon that is 2.5 speed and under.

Solution:

This can easily be solved by increasing the duration of these styles by 2 seconds. This should allow many of the weapons in the brawler professions to change an opponent to kneel or prone position and get in an extra attack.

5. Melee vs Ranged issue. Well there really isn't an issue if the problem's above are solved. Getting to marksman professions is easy, HITTING them when we are CLOSE is the REAL BIG PROBLEM!

Now some of you may not agree, that is to be expected, so post your own Idea's in this thread and hopefully Dev's will take a glance at it in, oh about 6 months. LoL.
