This is not a cry for help or a plea for unnerfing as it may be. This is to let The Devs and others know.

Ill give you a little background on my character. He is a Trandoshan Brawler, hoping to become a Teras Kasi some day and I have excepted the fact that it will take a LONG time. So I have decided to become a Creature Handler on top of becoming a TKA, this is to make my soloing attempts far more successful, I have also picked up the medic skill to decrease my downtime. I thought ahead once they nerfed it and saw this as the best road to becoming a TKA.

I have seen what a bralwer/TKA COULD do back in beta before their damage was nerfed, and I agree that it was to powerful. But finally playing with the nerfed damage, i relize that it was maybe to much. I am still trying to reach master unarmed, but i see no benefit to reaching that level. It is that same as reaching interm. The damage increase we get between levels is far to low, so you hide it with other useless skills such as toughness. If someone can honestly tell me they have seen this work right, let me know. I would recommend uping the damage just a tad between skills, because the only effective way i have found to get unarmed exp is to solo. But how do you expect people to do that when all they get between levels is a lame 10dmg increase. Now this is not just for people wanting to be TKA, you also jacked smugglers, they are not suppose to be a front line combat class, yet they are suppose to do the same as a trando brawler? I think not. So please take into consideration the other classes that are effected by this nerfing. Make the class worth something, im not telling you to beef it up to where it once was, im asking you find the happy medium between the two.

(Im sorry if my points are all over the place, but im sure most of you will get what im saying)

Second part.

Brawlers listen to me, and I will teach you a trick. Find the mob that you can kill which gives you atleast 150+ unarmed. They are out there and they have lairs from which they respawn. I personally can earn about 5000-15000 unarmed in about an hour or two if i try. For instance, im making my journey up to master unarmed and fanned rawls on naboo give about 250unarmed and they are fairly easy to kill in berserk. Just find those MOBs and camp their nests, in the time it takes to heal back up some will have respawned. To make this easier, pick up scout to make camps and medic to make your down time lower. You can milk these for large exp, so try it.

Again I am sorry for my points being all over the place, but i hope I get my point across.

I would also like any dev's to contact me, you can get my email from SOE.

Scout/Brawler/CreatureHandler here... I'm almost to Master Brawler and Master Scout. My notes thus far:

1. Doing about 84dmg per hit on average compared to my friends' guns (120dmg per hit), albeit I swing a little faster than they can shoot. I'll be looking for some vibro knuckles tonight.

2. I get ALL the damage... I mean ALL. In a group of 4 shooters and myself, as soon as I hit the bugger with some sort of combo, I'm the meat shield. Come on dev's, we need some seriously upp'ed defenses here! As a result, my armor wears out in no time (Chitin). I also get slapped around like a monkey.

3. Every little unarmed move costs a crapload of points... I can get off a couple stuns and blinds, and then have to sit there and punch the bugger 'till it falls. Takes a long long time of back-and-forth. How about lowering the cost of those unarmed moves since we're in the spotlight?

4. The good side... scout traps have given me an edge in PvE combat against creatures, even though it takes me forEVER to kill things. Eventually, I expect my pet to pick up some of the slack too.

All-in-all, a pretty fun class, but like it or not... we are the tanks. Creatures, once smacked around, only have a taste for your blood... screw those pesky shooters 100m away. If anything devs, hand us some friggin' defense so we can absorb the blows better and maybe up our attack closer to the equivelant shooter.

Try taking off your armor, you'll notice you'll survive a bit more by not killing yourself with HAM costs. Just take it off for a couple pulls and see how it goes. I'm sure you'll find you do much better in your BVDs than in Chitin armor.

Regarding armor... I've been only using Chitin chest + 2 bracers, the rest is clothing, so I don't think the HAM hit would be so hard. And I always see that my armor is absorbing blows from melee combat, so I would guess I'd be eaten up without it against a white, no?

if were the tanks, then give us some friggin defensive bonuses. as it stands its a joke, an artisan can tank about as well as i can

i am gettin tired of hearing unarmed brawlers complain about dmg though, your UNARMED, youhave a much lower speed and the only weapon you need is vibroknuckles. what do you guys want, crazy dmg, AND crazy speed? yeesh

ok i have a question,

What class is supposed to wear armor?

if the answer is melee then how come it hurts us without the creature even damaging us, since it eats us alive every time we attack with a skill, what is it all coated with acid? oh i know its for artisans and medics so they can run away and not take as much damage. ok now for the brawler part.

basically a 1 hand sword brawler/fencer is just like luke skywalker without a lightsaber or force. he was a fencerand you never saw him lose a battle,....ok maybe to Vader but HE'S VADER! but not a fraggin JAWA ! if i wanted to get owned by lame noob creatures i'd play eq. Hell as a matter of fact i only remember 2 times luke actually got hurt.1.A new hope= tusken raiders brained him, hewas a FARMER For frag sake he knew as much abouthis fatheras he did using a sword when this happened. 2 Empire Strikes Back=Vader did a number on his hand 3. Return of the Jedi=someone on Jabbas floating craft shot him in the same hand, and by the way anyone ever count the bodies that luke flayed in that whole jabba scene? too **edit** many thats how many and he got hit 1 time c'mon. sure hes a jedi but still if he was only using a regular sword hed be just as effective.......unless he was a characterin StarWars:Galaxies and you know i'm right.

they might as well have just done 1 hit kills, you never saw anyone besides luke take a blaster hit and live or a lightsaber hit.

Do not underestimate the power of the force. Luke was a Jedi, and I'm sure that when someone becomes a Jedi in SWG they will ROCK EVERYONE WITH THEIR LIGHTSABRE, ranged or not. You can't compare a regular person swinging around a sharp piece of metal to a fine tuned Jedi wielding his lightsabre.
