I've been trying to get the dizzy trapand lunge to work together for a couple of days now and cant seem to get any joy from it. I open by throwing the trap and then lunging. I get the dizzy message above the mob and the symbol for dizzy in the target bar when the trap hits and a posture change when lunge hits but then the mobs just get up again with no ill effects. What am I missing? Is trap dizzy different from melee dizzy or am i just having a very bad run of luck, I've tried it about 50 time and never got it to work.

I'm not too about traps but have you tried using lunge first beforeyou dizzy them?

Is it dizzy+lunge, or dizzy+knockdown? Perhaps this tactic only works with knockdown?

Yeah I don't know why you're using traps to achieve this since you're a brawler and inherently come with knockdown or dizzy if you get to expert level.
I've never tried dizzy+knockdown but that seems like a very good idea. I don't think I have knockdown in my 1h tree but if you can get both give it a try. I imagine a combo going like this:
Lunge
Knockdown
Dizzy
What that will do is lower their position plus some damage, knockdown doing a lot of damage plus getting them on their back, then dizzy so that as soon as they get up they fall back down and you can pound them all over again.

Jahdow, use dizzy first and then unarmed lunge until the target is prone, not just kneeling.
