Thread: Whats the difference between Lunge 1 and Lunge 2???

I just wanna know before I spend skill points on mastering brawler.

I think Lunge 2 does more damage and has more of chance to change the targets posture, but I'm not very sure i've never mastered Brawler.

Lunge 1: It LOWERS target position and does from about 10-15m

Lunge 2: It KNOCKDOWNS target and does it from about 20m

i think lunge 2 is like 30m, cause i know i can lunge1 at 20m....

They are both 20 range. Lunge1 does a small amount of damage and a posture change. Lunge2 does a little more damage and a knockdown.

Lunge 1 is a posture down, Lunge 2 is a knockdown. If you are going Fencer or Swordsman this will be the only KD you will get.

Lunge 2 is more effective but you can use the kd + dizzy with lunge1 and 1handed dizzy, it works good

Lunge 2 rocks, but there are many more advantages to mastering brawler than just the better lunge.

Lunge 1 is not 20m range.

The most important thing is that IT WORKS.


Lunge2 works better than some of the knockdowns and posture changes you'll find in the ELITE trees. Seriously, when I was a swordsman, my Two Handed Sweep 2 (which I got at Sword Defense 3) did NOT stick nearly as often as Lunge 2.


It even works marginally better than unarmed knockdown 2.


The point is, you can hit that lunge 2 button and have an expectation that it will work.

Just started a brlwler on Bria and, yes, Lunge1 is indeed 20m. Its my lead in that I've used against just about every MOB I've killed as a brawler. So its been tested extensively, and as recently as 6:45am EDT. So consider this a confirmation.
