Thread: Help with Polearm 3 and 4
don't start killing big things until you get an LVA.
Hermit Spiders are probably the biggest things you want to kill in the beggining.
Ok, I got an ok Reinforced Combat Staff, that was the best I could do
All the lances had crummy stats.
And Im already using Berserk so mucht that it's going to go out of style.
It totally sucks, I could easily kill dune banthas with Unarmed III, One Handed III, or Two Handed III, but I have a hard time killing a giant worrt with Polearm III
Long vibro axe is how I did it too. I found one on the bazaar. I had to search the whole galaxy but I found one, flew out and bought it. I grouped with a cheap DZ70 droid I found on the bazaar to get Dire cat missions on Corellia. The Dire cats were giving me like 2K XP and going down in a few hits (when the darn thing would connect). Did it in one afternoon.
Just keep checking the bazaar every day. Ones bound to show up sooner or later.
I have to agree with that...some people like to flood the bazaar with pikes. Yesterday I walked away with a 126 strength, 112 duration, 98% potency, -1 use health poison pike for 3k. That's a high potency, unlimited uses poison pike for 3k!. So always check your bazaar.

Each piket is over 3k XP + the lair. If you're doing Brawler as a hologrind this is great (provided you have a REAL combat class to back it up).
Take out 2 of the 3 pikets with your normal combat class, and take down the last with your lance. It adds up to around 13k-14k per lair. It doesn't sound like much, but you can get your 70k XP in 4-6 lairs depending, and at 9k creds per lair, how can you complain.
It only took me 1 buff (and entirely too much free time) to hit.
You need to get an LVA. You probably won't find a very good one on the bazaar, but look anyways. Look on the planetary map for Melee weapon vendors and just keep checking them. Or go to a mall, they usually have good stuff. The problem is Pikeman isn't a very common proffession, so pikes are often hard to come by. Just keep looking till you get one.

HOLY MONKEY BLADDERS!!! That's nice. For only 3k? Consider yourself very very lucky. Even if the stats suck, people just use that kind of weapon just to stick the dot.
Thats what I fought till IV and I got it preety fast. Now im a master brawler working on tka novice....Freaking unarmed exp..
