Thread: CU and brawler

I saw the CU combat Diagram and it doesn't mention brawler what so ever, where do we fit into? Our 4 base root proffs fall into different cartigories, Could someone enlighten me on whats gonna happen to master brawler?

it should stay the same, except for some tweaks (nerf?) to warcry (both 1 & 2)

I was in the TC today and Brawler is very different, warcy, intimidate, cob and berserk re not in novice, but taunt is, you get cob in the brawler lines but intimidate is a polearm ability and berserk a swordsman one. I did not see warcry, but I might have just missed it. You get three melee attacks, one at novice, one at each branch, but it is the same one and one at master. The only thing that bothers me is that a lot of the skills are repeated, you get COB and the same melee attack on all 4 branches.

yes but they are granted at different stages. So if I am going unarmed but can't wait till unarmed 3 to get melee strike I could get (2-hand I think) at box 1 and get the melee strike to improve my unarmed grind. Once I get unarmed three I could then drop the other one now that it is granted at unarmed 3. I also noticed that it might be faster to get the first box on all 4 branches then you will get most of the specials then grind out the branch you want and go back and drop the others. It all makes sense if you think about it.

It did, but not master brawler. What I would like to see fom the CU is instead of a swordsman needing both 1h and 2h ot a TKN needing unarmed and 2h (makes no freaking sense to me), something similar to Ranged Support in Marksman. Call it Close Combat Support.

Skill Name: Close Combat Support 1 Glare
Skill/Ability: CoB +2, CoB Efficency +10

Close Combat Support 2 Intimidation
Intimidate 1, CoB +2, CoB Efficency +10

Close Combat Support 3 War Cry
CoB +2, CoB Efficency +10

Close Combat Support 4 Berserk
Berserk 1, CoB +2, CoB Efficency +10

Now how would one add this into the current setup for bralwer? Simple, merge the novice lines of 1H and 2H like most of artisan is and called it Swords 1-4 (since both use a sword as their primary weapon). Then like artisan you could branch off at Novice Fencer and Novice Swordsman. This would free up a branch where Close Combat Support would go. Thus it would look like such.

TKN: Unarmed 4 + Close Combat Support 4
NOVICE SWORDSMAN: Swords 4 + Close Combat Support 4
NOVICE FENCER: Swords 4 + Close Combat Support 4
NOVICE PIKEMAN: Polearms 4 + Close Combat Support 4

This would provide all classes of brawler onegeneralcategory which provide themwith essesntial skills they could use and also free them up from having to spend skills points in another class that they will not probably ever use. I know as a TKM and Master Swordman I never used another combat class.

Well just my thouhgts on how to make the CU better for bralwer and their elite professions instead of what they have currently proposed for us.

What are your ideas? Also if there is a thread for this already sorry about not putting my thoughts there.

Not abd, unfortunately merging 1h and 2h will let ppl to go triple elite with fencer swordman and another prof of choice between tera skasi and pikeman.

But that pretty much can be achieved as it is already, since TK requires 2h, Swordsman 1h and Fencer unarmed. So to say that combining 1h with 2h and adding in antoher branch would make for a triple master which thye are trying do away with is nonsense since it can be accomplished anyways
