Thread: Hit by monsters too often

Someone posted about the death metrics for brawlers making up ~84% of all player deaths. I belive it. At Master Unarmed/TK Student I get hit nearly every single attack by animals that con blue, white and yellow. Meanwhile, a Novice Marksman can Kite them all day by running and firing behind them with a CDEF blaster pistol without getting scratched.

If Brawlers of ANY type are to have a chance in this game WITHOUT dragging a medic with them (as mentioned in my earlier thread) they should have some innate ability to dodge melee attacks. Like a built-in natural 33% chance to avoid. Something that would move up into the 40-50% range with Teras Kasi Novice, and 60-70% range with TK Master. On your character sheet it should list Dodge +33, and it should be a PERCENTAGE, not a point modifier.

Chitin armor, padded armor, big deal. You shouldn't have to play the game 8 hours a day 7 days a week to get "uber" gear just to avoid getting hit EVERY_SINGLE_TIME by VRELTS.
