Well, I had a revelation yesterday. A friend, who is working on combat medic, decided to tag along with me on Talus. I decided to try tangling with a few Red CON Dalyrakes.

Much to my surprise I killed all of them, for an average of ~1,200 Unarmed Combat XP EACH. My HAM bar was never lower than half at any time, and was usually near the top.

I would target a Dalyrake, throw a Lycopene Dart trap, spam Intimidate until it worked, Berserk, and normal attack them until dead. My friend would stand behind me about 6 meters and keep spamming /tendDamage as well as using Stim Packs to reduce his Mind drain.


Moral of the story: Find yourself a person working on their medical tree(s). Group with them, tie them to your waist, and drag them out in the wild. You will become a nearly unstoppable killing machine and you both will get your respective types of XP FAST. If you could find 2 or 3 medics and another brawler, you could run around laying waste to red CONS all day without having to pull individual monsters. The XP would be legendary.

Think the cost of specials is high? lol. Just keep hammering specials all day. 1 Medic of a decent skill level will heal Health/Action for >100 each time, every 5 seconds. It makes the Master Unarmed spin attack so rewarding.

There you go guys. Coax one of those doctor-wannabes out of your city's Hospital and out into the wild. They'll never have to wait for wounded to walk in.

Must be pretty boring for the medics though. I don't know too many people who want to hang behind a brawler all day and heal, much less stay at the hospital.

Works good.... until you get hit in the head of course.

Why should brawlers HAVE to rely on another player/class to hunt like this when Marksmen do not?

Temporary work arounds are often nice, but actually fixing the problems is the better solution.
