A few last minutes details on how things will run at the event:

Event registration

  • Please try arrive by at least 8:45 (15 minutes early)

  • A Vendor will be available at the door selling entry tickets for the TKA and non-TKA versions of the 1v1 and King of the Hill contests. Remember, TKA's may NOT apply for the non-TKA fights. The vendor will be closed once the event begins

  • Once a ticket is bought, your name will be noted by one of the contest officials, who will then notify me.

  • I will be drawing names from a hat (literally) to determine who matches up with who. If there is an odd number of contestants, a random person may get a bye. This may seem a bit off, but it's the only way to do a bracketed competition without contestants pre-registering.

  • Please review all the contest rules in my previous posts. I will be announcing the more important ones again prior to the start of the event just to make sure the rules are clear.

  • At the completion of the match, winners should stick around in order to collect their prize purse from me.

  • The prize purse percentages are 60%/25%/10% for first, second, and third place finishes, respectively.

  • If for some reason a winner cannot stick around, please send me an email and we can arrange a post-event meeting.

  • Most of all have fun!

Sporsorship/Vending

  • I can still set up vendors and accept sponsors at the time of the event, but try to arrive 30 minutes earlier so that it does not delay the event too long

  • Remember that setting up a vendor involved coordinating permissions within the building, as well as setting up the appropriate advertisement and signs promoting your vendor

  • Setting up sponsorship is also more than just donating money, as I will need to talk w/ your PA representatives about the PA and how I should be promoting it

Betting

  • There will be 2-3 designated bookies taking bets at the start of each part of the event (this will be announced throughout the event

  • The will be a vendor set up with a list of the registered contestants' names in it.

  • Once you see who you'd like to bet on, simply send a /tell to one of the bookies and they will take your money and give you a ticket stub with the name of the contestant and the contest in which they are fighting in.

  • Remember that you are betting on who will win each set of fights. In other words, there will be a TKA 1v1 winner, a non-TKA 1v1 winner, a TKA King of the Hill winner, and a non-TKA King of the Hill winner. Payouts are for top 3 finishers.

  • Bets can be in any amount

  • Payouts will vary based on the total number of bets taken for each specific category.

  • The payout pool for each category will be constantly updated in realtime via announcements prior to each category's start.

  • The payout percentages are 60%/25%/10% for first, second, and third place finishes, respectively

I hope to see many new and familiar faces there!

FYI these fights are weaponslessboxing matches- even the non-TKA ones. "Non-TKA" just indicates you don't have TKA Novice or higher skill - just wanted to clarify that point.
