When are the negative accuracy mods on weapons gonna get changed? A post by the devs said they were going to do something about it.

Under Pikeman it says :
Problem 2
Negative to hits at close range for some weapons.
Solution 2
I don’t like the negative ranges in the slightest bit. I’ll see what I can get changed from the weapon crafting side to negate these modifiers. It will probably be on new weapons only.
Is adding accuracy to the professions really helping when all the professions are also getting bonuses to melee defense? Doesn't that negate any positive effect of the bonuses to accuracy?

You're missing the big picture. Long Vibro Axes, the worst example, often have accuracy modifiers less than -50. This means pikemen have a tough time hitting ANYTHING, including creatures. They need that accuracy. It's not just about pvp.

Polearm accuracy is a big problem for PvE and PvP. Increased defensive mods only make it more important that these things get fixed, in my opinion. Also at the same time as the defenseive bonuses all melee classes have received increased accuracy bonuses. This should, for melee folk, partially or wholly negate the defensive gains of their opponents, making everyone more powerful in PvE and keeping accuracy issues between melee battlers about even. The bonus to polearm accuracy bonuses is fantastic, but in my opinion, the accuracy penalties on their weapons are still a major issue. Especially early in the game. The LVA is essentially useless as a brawler weapon and you might as well not touch it until you're a ways into the pikemen tree a bit.
Sorry I've been busy, I swear there'll be a State of the Profession thread up soon.
