It's gotta be the most insulting and frustrating aspect of this profession.
Asheron's Call had a solution to this, it was called Sticky Melee. Once someone started attacking you, they were stuck to you (at least for a short distance) if you tried to run away.
It was an often amusing aspect of the game, watching people slide around stabbing someone in the back, but it was effective.
Sigh.

Try fighting one of those droid medics, either rebel or imperial. They just keep on kiting and kiting. Unlike other NPCs that will either pull out a melee weapon, or stop every now and then.

thats why we need a ninja star tossing skill with ranged posture down or KD
