Thread: Its almost official, Center of Being broken!
The Devs touted this as the solution to melee tanking yet right now it takes 100+ mind, lasts about 30 seconds, and does ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!
Ive tried this on everything, creatures, NPC's, melee combat, ranged combat, ranged PvP, melee PvP, I even dueled another guy who has it.
Ima novice TKA and all this skill does it burn my precious mind bar with NO EVIDENCE OF BLOCKING< DODGING<EVADING<OR DAMAGE REDUCTION
Ive talked with 7 other melees, some still in the brawler tree, some masters, all of them agree, its does nothing!
I was really anticipating this skill =(
now its just a fun way to burn your mind in combat
I did a short little test with it. I fought 3 Wolf Kimas with and 3 without CoB on Talus. Here are the results.
3 Wolf Kimas with CoB: hit me 23 times and missed me 26 times.
3 Wolf Kimas without CoB: hit me 51 times and missed me 15 times.
Master Brawler + 0-0-0-2 Fencer
+23 1 hand CoB duration
+75 1 hand CoB efficiancy

I'm sorry, but you are the biggest idiot I have ever heard of. You are a Novice TKA, correct? You use your hands, not swords, correct? Swords are used to block hits,hands aren't. Now try and guess why you can't use it.I'll give you a hint, there are swords on the hotkey for it, and only an IDIOT (notice I don't say newbie, newbies are even smarter than you) wouldn't notice that.
Also, everyone notice that I have nothing against newbies, and am actually a newbie helper.

Since the forum you are in didn't point it out to you, I will: this is a brawler skill. It applies to all 4 brawler lines.
Swords are used to block hits, hands aren't.
You are correct in stating that hands cannot effectively block sword strikes. But, if it's two unarmed fighters squaring off against each other, your hands can block/parry each other's strikes. So it depends on which angle you choose to look at the situation from. 
To the topic: I've used Center of Being for a while, uses a lot of HAM, and it hardly helps. But I did block a Valarian Scout's knife attacks four times in a row while I wasted him with my long vibro axe. That was pretty neat.

It's you who have seriousProblems instead. This skill applies to all brawler classes, you could notice just exploring the Brawler trees. Go get a tranquilizer man.
I think this skill is just the contrary of Berserk.
Center of Being is not broken across the board. However, there is something apparently wrong with it in the unarmed branch/ TK profession.
Those that you have spoken with that agree it is "broken" or "worthless" are likely fairly low on the skill trees which would account for relatively low return on the HAM investment. It does get much better as you advance.
I hope it gets fixed for TK soon.
