Thread: SHOULDNT YOU HAVE TO HAVE SWORDSMAN OR FENCER SKILLS TO BE JEDI AND USE LIGHTSABER? OPINIONS PLS

the reason Luke swung his lightsaber like that is cause the blade weighs NOTHING at all but


there are cryastayls inside the saber that give it its color so the gems have to weigh something


also the blade and the hilt on a normal sword are supposed to be balanced but a lightsabers isnt

Read between the lines here. Obviously this guy is saying this because he thinks he should become a Jedi by just being a brawler.

Yeah I kinda figured that out on my own. Regardless it would be nice if it was a pre-req. That would bring A LOT more attention to the Brawler class.

hasnent Every jedi pretty much mastered Brawler anyways? read the posts, they all mastered medic, brawler, and some kind of entertainment

Nope, the reactions shown in the movies all imply MASS to a light saber blade. phisics say things don't bounce off of each other without mass. This has been chewed over for YEARS by the bigest geeks around. Generaly the consensis (SP?) is there is a mass to the blade or some force (phisycs notMidichlorian) in play

Ummm... you'd better hope that it's ballanced. As a fencer i know a sword NEEDS to be balanced a little bit infront of the hilt or you'd never be able to parry let alone keep ahold of the hilt. with no mass out there leverage is totaly working against you.





as to wether or not 1hs or 2hs should be required for a Jedi...


Seems like it would be part of the Jedi training. I understand you get lightsaber skills as you level. the saber is not simply a 1h or a 2h weapon it is a crossbreed. seemes right to me that it should have it's own skill set.
