As an unarmed brawler I must of course be right on top a creature to hit it.. The problem is, when I do stand right in front of, or right on top of the creature my chance to hit indicator is either -5 or 0.

This means I will not hit nearly as much as I do with a pistol at the same range.

This may be why brawlers percieve such a difficulty in combat. I do notice far more missed hits with unarmed that I do with pistol of the same skill level also.

Using a pistol at point blank gives a bonus of +15 to +30. I don't know if there is a sweet spot for any of the melee professions. Even if there were, the mobs won't stay in it.

Although it is annoying, I am pretty sure this is only a display issue. At the higher levels of Unarmed and TKA I missed much less than I did as a novice.

I am expert unarmed now, and still get the -5 or 0 modifier. It seems to me (regardless of skill) that modifier for a melee should be in the +10 or higher range when standing right in front of a critter.

It would also be helpful if moves such as /unarmedHit1focused on 1 pool in the HAM rather than random to all 3. As it is now, /unarmedHit1 is just a higher damage version of auto attack.
