Thread: Devs: is Warcry1 broken?
Ninja, do you watch the combat window at all? As i stated about wire mesh, i also see a difference in damage when using warcry 1. Watch the combat window, man. It shows what your damage is. Line up what you did pre-warcry to what you do during warcry.
Next your probably gonna ask if berserk does anything...
before you ask, yes it does. That adds like 80+ dmg to all my attacks when using it.

please don't speak as if i have no clue what's going on here. i've been playing this for over two months now, and i know when things have changed.
warcry1 used to have a big fat visual effect, just like berserk. berserk puts text in your combat spam that says "you go berserk!" it's entirely possible that i've gone blind in the last two weeks, but i don't see either of these things when i use warcry. i would like some confirmation that these are doing something other than just sucking up my HAM points.
and no, berserk does not add 80 points to your damage output. it multiplies damage by three, as you'll see as you progress up the unarmed and TKA skill trees.
however, the problem is when it works, and i've found that it fails far more often that it succeeds (maybe 25% success rate). given the 200+ HAM points i have to invest to even attempt the skill, it's just not worth it. any damage i might prevent (at early levels) is totally offset by the damage it does to me in return.
so, i consider it broken in spirit.
