on teh last episode I posted this on the development forum but Q told me post it here

see I'm all for a challenge

But I shouldn't have to group to defeat a DURNI

....that's pretty much all

I'm a novice brawler and I'm losing to a durni

what happen devs to the point you made taht we would not start out weaker then a WAMP RAT

plus Red aggresive swooper leaders are spawning right at city exits......this game is no longer newbie friendly

I gotta agree here- but with a **edit** the nest, Gorts start popping out the yin-yang and they swarm me. Now, if I try and concentrate my attacks on the nest, the herd of gorts will kill me, if I try and kill off the gorts, then the nest starts getting healed - I can't win!

Please someone tell me that I'm doing something wrong. Cause my mighty brawler has been demoted to a courier because that's the only **edit** mission I can complete.

Try using unarmedlung every 2 or 3 special moves, it helps because most mods can't attack when they are nealing or prone (unless they are ranged). But remeber UL only does 1 point of damage so don't over do it or you'll run out of HAM bars before the taget will.

I find the best way to solo nest (or in a group for that matter) is not use specials and hover your arrow over the peace button. as soon a a mob pops out of the nest hit peace and statr working on the mob. This takes a little loger but your mortality rate will go way up.

Against relatively weak to moderate targets, use beserk. It'll make you more vulnerable BUT allows you to inflict massive amounts of damage. With a wooden staff & a reinforced combat staff I did upwards to 300+ damage while beserk, much more than with /polearmhit1.

You should be able to take a Duri out, with your skill level easy. I have no problem taken them out. What race did you go with. That may be the problem. Did you by chance Migrate any of your stats? Well I am unarmed andTransodshan. Not much help still learning class myself but seem to like it. Wish the boards would pick up some.

Same problem here. Frogs a beating me up. I use Berserk, but it only lasts a few seconds (2 or 3 hits) then kaput. I am a Zabrak Brawler however, and I notice that Wookie and trandoshan brawlers are not having as difficult a time as I am. I suppose all Brawlers are suppose to be Huge ugly freaks in Star Wars. I am upset about this. Combine this with the screwy mission terminals and brawlers days aredefinitely numbered.

Jesme, the number of defenders that a lair will spawn is finite. Soloists of all stripes will often have to break off their first attempt to destroy the lair in order to kill all the new defenders, and then make a new assault on the freshly repaired lair. At that point I often find that no more new defenders pop out, and I can destroy the lair in peace.

I had a little time too cool down. I think the real problem is not the brawler or race, but rather the mobs in the game. They have been amped up since beta, and even in low difficulty missions (6-7) there are a few reds mixed in with the other mobs. The devs need to fix this. Brawlers have a hard time breaking up camps and I think this is unusually hard for beginning brawlers. Most of the common animals that are around the city are extremely tough and I've seen Squalls running though Restuss creating a path of bodies. Maybe this is what all beginning days are like for a new online game.

Of course, you don't always know how many defenders will spawn at first........

Actually, Ihave tried to take out low level lairs, but new ones keep spawning for every one I kill in a few seconds. I get one or 2 whacks on the lair and a new one comes running at me. I think I tried taking one lair on for 2 hours before I finally gave up on it.

I think another problem is due to the fact that enemies only attack one bar, or just the enemies I've seen so far. If I'm attacking a Grubber he only hits my Health bar and never my mind or action where I hit either one randomlly. Sometime if I get lucky and all my hits hit just one bar the fights go fast and other times I hit all three and the battles take forever.

The same goes forranged I suppose but they are able to hit from a distance and are not taking the pounding right at the begining. So they can make up for this variance.

Also it seems that melee has no sweet spot either like rifles or pistols. We either have a negative penalty to hit or none at all.

This may be another reason why pets seemed so overpowered in the beta. They just smash your health.

And I thought I was the only one having problems defeating mobs.
