Brawler Archive

I've mostly been going the scout/marksman route (like 90% of players, I know) with my eye on commando. So, this means I've had to spend some time training in unarmed combat.

I have nothing but respect for the brawlers now, especially the future TKAs that will live among us. With any of my guns, I can lie down by a lair, spam the special for my particular gun, harvest some hides from the mountain of corpses, finish off the lair and move on. If I go it unarmed, I have no such luxury and the outcome is mainly based on luck. I throw traps, I use berserk, lunge, unarmedhit, throw darts, all the while taking a pounding. Even if I happen not to miss, I have no guarantee which pool I'm going to hit, and the creature is usually 80% dead in all pools before I finally beat it into submission. This makes the fight almost 3 times longer...and I take at least 3 extra rounds of damage on top of this, since I can't start the attack from 60 meters. On to the next mob, and the next...

All I can say is that when I see any of you, I'll have nothing but respect.

I have to admitI am becoming disenchanted with the unarmed brawler route at this point. I am constantly beingincapacitated while my marksman friends survive every time. I am doing half or less than half of their damage.

But, I also have wanted to be TKA since I first read the available professions and Im not going to give up now!
