Remove the part of the manual that warns gun users not to be prone or kneeling while fighting a melee character.

I'm an expert unarmed fighter and I dueled my coworker friend who's an advanced pistol. He killed me 3 times.. One time he was on his knee.

Each time I started the duel about 15 paces from him.. None of the times did he Kite me. He didn't need to.

Take into account that marksman are a lot more accurate prone or kneeling. Your test is flawed because you started at range. Of course if you start ranged you allow enough time for the enemy to get some good shots off before you get in close. It's wise to be skilled in ranged weapons. An enemy NPC with a blaster isn't going to say oh wait, he doesn't have a gun so I won't fire on em. They don't care what you got. Might as well let them kill you or runif you are not skilled in ranged weapons besides blasting back tends to draw enemy NPCs into close range where you could ditch your gun and UA em or use a melee weapon. I've seen that on destroy missions with an Imperial insisting on firing at you and rushing you fasterif you fire back.

WHAT???

If you never close the distance between you and the person shooting at you then you'll NEVER go into melee..

Trust me.. The test wasn't flawed. I was 15 paces away.. He got like 2 shots in on me.. Big whoop.. That's definately not why I lost the fight. I lost the fight cause we can't fight anymore. PERIOD.
