First off...GET A DROID. Why the dumb Engineers complaining about having to make tons of 'useless' Mouse droids did not tell us the number one fact on why to have one, I have no idea!

You can group with your own droid and get +50% exp! Oh the hours I wasted with a Mouse Droid in my pocket. Just program the group command and then say it and your grouped.

Macros -I use '/follow /attack /berserk1 /berserk1 /berserk1 /berserk1'. You never have to chase anything by yourself again. One hit of this macro and you chase down your target and berserk on it. As a MedicI also have a '/healdamage self' macro to heal myself without having to change targets. As a scout I have '/harvest bone' for quick scout exp between kills. I change this to meat and hide as needed.

So I get two missions, run out and kill everything that has a nest along the way. If creatures dont have a nest (and arent aggressive) they run around like fools. Not worth your time. Just look for the yellow squares on the map, thats a nest thingy.

I have a Probe Droid. I hotkeyed its attack. It has saved my life too many times to count. Its damage does take away exp though so use it only when needed. Its way tougher that you. I use it to chain aggro things, tank very strong creatures (just stand one meter behind it and you should never get aggro), and to kill babys while Im fighting. Sick as that sounds, babys are worth no exp so might as well have the droid clean them up while you fight real stuff.

If your arent going to use Combat Exp anyway, buy Ranged Support under marksman for the defenses. You can always dump it later. In fact I have ALL SIX basic classes. cant hurt until you need the skill points.

My big questions now....what end class do you think will go best with Berserk2? Polearm, Sword, big Sword or Unarmed....?

AKA Exploit.

I'm really confused by the language in the first post. Are you saying to get a mouse droid and send it in to tank for you while you beat the tar out of the mob? Please clarify.

No, what he's saying is that he got the cheapest driod he could get and programmed it with the Group command so it could group like you'd do with other players. You can then put it into your inventory but still collected the grouped xp bonus. In other words, he's exploiting the system since he's not actually in a "group" because the droid isn't doing a **edit** thing but giving him more xp. People with pets can do the same thing.

I'm sure not everyone will think it's an exploit, but hey, I'm entitled to my opinion. If you can explain why it's not an exploit in a good way, I may change my mind. Then again, if you don't care what I have to say about it, then you won't bother.

a couple clarifications: First, it's not 50% bonus, if I have my droid out, I get 390 on a Zaar Baor, with him in my inventory I only get 302. So that's a 29% increase.

Second, you can't put your droid away, unless the server happens to lag at the right time, the droid will disband and you'll be solo again. If the server lags, then yes, it will still count as being out, but the last time that happened to me, I still didn't get any extra bonus XP.

Now for the part about exploit. Since the mobs can run over and attack my droid like they do other party members, I don't see how this is an exploit. I had to go chase down my droid several times because some critter ran over to attack him and he took off like a bat out of hell.

If SOE does determine that using droids for extra XP gain is an exploit, fine I'll stop grouping the droid, but that's their only real benefit at the moment, unless you get a probot

Hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I read about another advantage of the MSE Droids. I read that they can store up to eight mission, thus allowing you to run more missions w/o returning to a city for more. I personally have not attempted to do this. If someone can confirm or disprove this please do so.

Happy fighting!!

Yes it's true, you could by a droid with a data module installed and you could take up to 10 missions at a time. That is until todays patch. The dev's classified this as an exploit and have removed the ability to store the missions on a droid.

As a droid builder I am at a loss as to what a data module is for other than storing waypoints. Is anyone close to running out of room on their Data Pad?

My considering it an exploit is based on having the droid in your inventory. If that's not possible and the droid is actually out with you when you fight, then it doesn't seem like one to me. I've heard similar complaints about pets, though. Not sure if the same rules apply.

I never grouped with my Mouse Droid, I didnt know about group bonus' back then. I do group with my Probe Droid. I have never put it back in my inventory...its tougher than me anyway.

Now if grouping with a droid and getting more exp is an exploit?!....that is pathetic. I payed $50 for this game and $14 a month or whatever and I am suppose to figure out whether ornot something this gray is an exploit for them? I know what real exploits are, I consider this a perk of a droid.

Nother tip for ya. As CptBlood said, might as well use the combat xp on ranged support right?

Well, don't just do it for the defensive benefits. You also get Aim. And at least right now, it works with melee... so you can go from (in my case [w/ piece o crap axe]) a -15 mod to hit toa + 5 to 10. And we all know the most important thing when it comes to killing is actually hitting the bloody creature.

And uh... bump
