I near its the best melee attack in the game, because it hits heavy, is easy to get and has a very fast timer?

Is this true?

I've never heard of a pistol whip. Every pistol person I've seen still shoots while at melee range.

because it delivers a knockdown.

And it can be VERY fast...

Wookieepanub, when the others refer to pistol whip they mean Pistol Melee Defense which is available to Pistoleers. It's kinda strange that a fellow with a pistol can deliver a knockdown but a fellow with an axe can't. Oh well.

Pistol whip -> Double tap. 'Nuff said.

If you actually see someone with a good sliced Power 5 doing this, your jaw will drop. They can chain this for incredible effect. Xander on Chilastra is the man. Watch him in action and see for yourself. I can say that with polearm hit 2, you won't keep up with this type of damage.

The Pistol special attack Meleedefense was definitely overpowered. You hear from Master Pistoleers who killed a Dark Jedi solo using this attack and of another that kept a Krayt Dragon flat on it's back while the rest of his group killed the critter.

For the sense of balance the move has been nerfed back a bit. How much I can't say yet.

But in fairness I hear pretty much the same effect is possible with the combination of the one handed Dizzy and Lunge attacks, whichBrawlers get at a much lower level than Meleedefense. It takes two move'sI know but please, you get that combo after killing a few frogs and butterflies. Meleedefense doesn't come along until you're in an Elite Profession.

I apologize to all the one handers out there. I had the Dizzy attack confused and thought it was a Level 1 attack. It takes a few more than a few butterflies to get it.
