ok maybe its just me.. but it seems like theres really no difference between a brawler and a marksman in taking damage from enemies. Brawlers are suposed to tank right? then explain to me why someone with a pistol can take dmg just as well as i can. Am i the only one with this problem?

man between this and the ham costs im seriuosly starting to reconsider my path

Unfortunately brawlers were never meant to tank. You could try, but I always found myself dying.

Don't give up the brawler though. It takes patience and hard work but to be able to kick someone's ass up close and personal I think it's well worth it. All about style....

hrm i really dont want to give them up, but they just seem horribly imbalanced right now. you already do less dmg than ranged, have to get close to do it, can get hit by fleeing enemies (**edit**?), have exorbantly higher ham costs for all your moves, AND you dont take dmg any better? o_Ox other than looks which i think is cool too there really doesn't seem any point to being a brawler

I think it pays of by being able to become a TKA... I saw a novice laying out 1000 damage, and I about pee'd myself. I don't think my pistol would do much in the face of that.

Brawlers do tank better, but I still think our to hit modifier is still too low in melee range. Anyway pistol takes 150% damage, carbine 200%, rifle 250% of normal damage. So you do tank better, a rifle in melee range is dead in a few hits flat.

Always use intimidate as well. This greatly reduces damage. I usually spam this as a lead til it hits then clear the queue. I'm not a fan of Beserk as well. It greatly increases the damage you take. I usually try to posture change and any conditions like blind/stun I can do. I just got Master Brawler on Bria.

I believe that someone holding a pistoltakes 1x (normal) damage, someone holding a carbine takes 2x (double) damage, and someone holding a rifle takes 3.5x (more than triple) damage.

Morons need not reply to this message..... If you are an intelligent person but choose to say something retarded, please be aware that I have no choice but to consider you a moron.

Thank you and have a nice day...

Actually, it's

Pistols: 1.1X

Carbines: 1.5X

Rifles: 2.5X

Heavy Weapons: 3X

brawlers can be ok tanks, but the best tanks in SWG are doctors
