Thread: why are our to hits in the -'s?

Thats easy melee got shafted . if you pull out a pistol and stand at point blank range you get a +. For some reason me and my sword have less of a chance to hit at that range..... Its just how they set it up i have been bugging it sence mid beta 3 and still no change.

Well it's only a hit modifier. Meaning it's an adjustment to the base hit percentage of the weapon/attack. I'm hoping that means that you still end up with a better chance to hit overall, but it doesn't seem like it, since I miss a lot with my polearm. But that might be because leg hit is less accurate then a normal attack.


Although I remember using a rifle at close range and missing a lot also, even when spamming the point blank hit (whichbasically makes the modifier 0).

err can someone explain this to me? my sword is 7/7/7 but when im fighting i always have a -modifier to hit. what gives?? is this a bug or something? those numbers are suposed to indicate a + to hit not a -, at least they do with ranged weapons

That is one of the questions I will bring up with the devs. At least to get an explaination of what the number means.
