Thread: Advice for New Brawlers Right of the Space Station.
I haven't seen a thread on this subject so I thought I'd ask people who've been playingBrawlers for a while to offer advice about what they would have done different, or the same, based on their experiences.
For example I asked some Fencers about what to look for in a weapon and they said to focus on getting a weapon with shorter delay rather than high damage (for getting the special attacks off quickly).
What other tricks are "common knowledge" for experienced players but may not be known to some one new to the game or just new to the Profession.
Special moves, creatures to hunt, anything.

Whatever city you are in, hunt the white creatures (avoiding cats and other pack animals). You'll get the best XP from them, and they will be a challenge.
Don't worry so much about special attacts (except berserk) for now. Get the points you need to advance, and the damage will increase on it's own.
Learn when to run like mad.
Don't hunt too far from the city just yet. Get at least one rank under your belt of whatever you want to master.
If you are unarmed - get a good pair of vibro knuckles. They will save your life repeatedly.
If you are going up any other part of the path, run a few missions and then hit the bazaar and find yourself a nice weapon that you can use and are certified for, changing in for a new weapon. Hunt with only one other person for now. Larger groups will take from your XP.
Just my two creds.
I fight unarmed. I found medic skills and scouting to be very valuable. I never hardly berserk thanks to wire mesh traps and later glow wire traps. Also grab the best vibro knucklers you can afford and have them sliced.
